as far as i know...
sunroof--glass
moonroof--metal
not sure about it though..
may sunroof na surplus, meron ding pong brand new..pang civic hatchback, diba?:D
i know ziebart sells brand new sunroofs,WEBASTO yung brand,i think it sells for around P35K including install..brand new kasi ito,and may warranty, unlike sa surplus sunroofs,wala..btw this is automatic(tilt/slide)..:D
surplus units are priced around P7-10k depending on the condition..pero wala pa pong install ito..pero these are the oem sunroofs of cars in japan..sure fit ito..as far as ok yung pagka-install..i find the ziebart units too expensive imho..
ako naman iba pagkakaalam ko for both.
sunroof - metal
moonroof - glass (either automatic or not)
ang pagkakaalam ko, moonroof can only be used at night, while sunroof can be used during the day... j/k lang po.
honestly, i don't know.

honestly, i donfunny ka ha....
A friend of mine is installing brand new moon/sun roofs pero layo lang location.
Bulacan pa!!!
But he gives warranty with it!
moonroof may tilt.... sunroof wala, sliding lang. usually sunroof can be found sa mga old model cars and old model cars have metal sunroofs kaya akala nung iba pag metal, sunroof na 8)
sunroof: tilt and slide open
moonroof: tilt and detach the glass to open fully
This is based on the sunroof/moonroof being sold by Ziebart/Carsavers.

Oo nga pala.... this is according sa manuals nung 1990 ES250 (sunroof) at 2002 CR-V (moonroof) ko ngayon. BTW, my ES250 has power glass sunroof na sa loob din ng ceiling ang bukas which is the same as my CR-V. The only difference is the tilt feature. Originally Posted by Macky

I have been curious about the difference between the moonroof and sunroof as well and found this thread looking for an answer. I think I found a good explanation on the web as follows:
"sunroof" is the term originally used to describe a metal panel that would only allow light or air in when opened. A "moonroof," on the other hand, is a glass panel that can allow light in even when it is closed (provided, of course, you slide back that nifty fabric-covered panel to expose the glass).
So after 2 years, we can put to rest our doubts on this matter![]()
aha! and all the while i thought sunroof ang tawag pag araw pa, tapos pag gabi na, moonroof na tawagi know, corny

This topic is great topic to get some idea. My only problem about the size for my car last time i saw some from EK mukhang malaki masyado. Sa mga my mits or honda nga pala i have a lot of parts from intake carbon fiber power chamber 12K, Grand Tourismo Lambo 25K, Aem Pulley 5K, e post ko na lang ulit pag my time sa buy & sell car acc. All the stuff i'm selling all orig less than 50% from the orig. price when i order it.
Thanks
