Repainting "DOMPER" my trooper

Hi guys, am about to have my UBS trooper (98 model) repainted (wash over) this coming July. Need inputs from you. I'll probably have it repainted by the guys who worked on Afrasay's Patrol and Sammy.

Color Green (from factory specs)

So here are my plans:
1. Of course retain ang orig color.
2. Get rid of the two tone crap on the fenders but retain a two tone color for the lower side mouldings (parang bighorn troopers from japan)
3. Color the lower side mouldings with a different shade (i'm thinking of gunmetal)

4. Color the front and rear bumpers with the same color as the lower mouldings.

Whatya think? Inputs appreciated. Thanks.

Mura lang. Ala pa 25k ang quote sakin. Washover lang naman and wala namang tama ang trooper. I'm having second thoughts lang kung ipapa 2-tone ko pa. Balak ko dark green nalang lahat pati bumpers.

I've noticed kasi na there's a sticker tape na nilalagay sa boarder nung 2-tone, and I think that this tape can only be bought sa casa. baka hindi nila ma-perfect ang boarder kung ipilit ko ang 2 tone.

May mga nakita naman ako na single color lang na trooper and it looked nice.

Hehe tingin ko mas mahal jan sa wet look. But I'll still ask around. Kung mas mura, dun ako. Mukhang mapapaaga ang washover ng trupi ko...this wed pasok ko na.

Bakit kung kailan tag-ulan saka ka papaint?(Dami ka siguro budget, ehehehhe).

Boss edwin..kaw naman. Mura lang ang bigay sa akin. Grab the opportunity na ako. They will do my undercoating na rin for free. Ok lang nman daw ang polyurethane kahit tag ulan. Besides they are offering me almost a lifetime warranty..hehe.

salamat sa insights. Really appreciate it. I'm thinkin of having either one color nlang or colored bumpers lang (gun metal). Yoko na palagyan ng kulay ang side mouldings. I might just get the black stipe (meron din ang us trupies nito eh) for the sidings.

Single color na nga lang pero hindi po black. I'll be retaining the orig color na green.

Thanks for the post. Malamang I'll be going body paint na rin for the bumpers. Referring to your pic, saan kaya makakabili nung door mouldings na ganyan. I like the look of the straight side mouldings, ang linis tingnan.

pare kailangan ba talagang pa wash over? hindi na ba kaya ng detail?
pa detail mo na lang then pa paint mo na lang yung lower part na green tapos sa sobrang pera mo

I've thought of this over and over pero kailangan na talaga. I think having it washed over is a cheaper alternative kasi some paint is starting to crack and peel off na. Maaaring its starting at one panel palang but the other panals are showing singns na rin. I just had it detailed and lalung lumabas ang mga cracks..hehe.

Nga pala kimps, di ba may paint shop ka? madali lang ba magpapaint ng 2 tone? Worry ko kasi baka mahirap na trabaho ito (lalo na for the fender portion ng trooper (mine has no flares installed). Baka kasi hindi kayanin ng pintor???

nope hindi naman matrabaho ang 2 tone masking tape lang secreto diyan...

pero trip ko yung nasa pic ni beetols
yung fender lang ang may paint...

kung gusto mong fender flare may nabibili namang fiberglass nasa 8K yata ask mo si Niwde11.

no more budget for the flares eh. Besides, I'll have to upgrade tire size muna. Regarding the 2-tone, kasi worry ko, baka madaling mag peel off ang color dun sa boarder nung 2 colors eh. I've noticed na parang may tape lining na nilagay ang isuzu as a boarder of the two colors. kailangan pa ba ito?
