Carbon fiber hood

Guys, i need your help, i bought a car with carbon fiber hood, but the hood's color is already faded, how could i restore or bring back its original luster?

Real or painted? How do you mean "lost its color?"... is the finish dulled, or is the clearcoat milky?

wow sayang naman yung carbonfiber look kasi pininturahan.. baka pwede mong pahilamos na lang o kaya e try buffing it and wax it

To nicky: bro, its the real carbon fiber, its already dull coz its been exposed to the sun and rain, coz the previous owner has no covered garage, i would like sana to regain its true color and luster.

can't detail a carbon fiber hood... the resin that holds the carbonfiber has turned yellow. Either live with it or paint it. You can paint it in a semi translucent grey color that would cover the yellowed tint but still show the carbin fiber pattern underneath...

yep..may clear coat po kc un.. anyways try to have it clear coated again..

That's why I asked if it was milky... ibig sabihin na-discolor na yung resin niya. I don't think a clear coat would cut it... you could try anyway. May be better just to sand it down a bit, then paint it already.

Actually, gelcoat ang top coat ng CF, it can be restored using marine polishes.

sand-it with 1200,,,alalay lang ha with water,,natural color of resin is cristal clear,,,saken kc i dont advice to put top coat,,,lihahin mo with moderate pressure,,then pag makinis na pa buff mo,,pag na buff na yan natural color and shine of the resin will go out,,its better na walang top coat ma-gasgasan man buff ka nalang ng buff para wala ng problema sa top coat
