When the engine gets hot, the coolant expands and the excess coolant collects in the reservoir. When the engine cools, the coolant contracts, creating a vacuum. This vacuum sucks in the coolant from the reservoir. However, if your radiator cap pressure spring is stuck closed, it will prevent coolant from going back, instead, the vacuum will cause the rubber hose to collapse.

try to check the small hose coming from your top radiator(under the cap) into the coolant reservoir. possible clogged na un small hose kya kapag lumamig or malamig na radiator mo, di na makahigop ng water since while the engine if not running the engine cooling system thermostat is closed. and while the temperature is dropping the pressure inside the cooling system also drop creating a vacuum.

if ok naman un small hose, then replacing the radiator cap might fix the problem, but keep the old cap as a spare.
