radiator fan

guys,
yung fan ba sa likod ng radiator parating umaandar o pag mainit lang yung radiator mo? kasi napansin ko kanina yungfan hindi himihinto.maraming salamat.

kasi napansin ko rin to on my ride, a 97 accord and sabi ng honda na natural lang daw na umaandar yung fan kahit nakapatay na yung engine until it cools down.

do you have two fans?

1 fan turns on at a given temp, another fan turns on with the AC compressor.

If you have only one fan... it might possibly be turning on with a thermostat. When your car reaches a certain temp.. lets say 90*, the fan turns on.. until the temp goes down below the triggering temp. If it does not.. lets say on a very hot day.. it stays on.. until such time the temperature of the engine goes down due to better weather, or you're travelling at highway speeds.

As for the accord fan staying on... it does. Ganyan din accord namin... i think it has something to do in keeping the temperature steadily going down when the engine is off. Imagine turning off the engine.. without the fan... imagine the pressure buildup in your radiator and the temp increase... so i guess parang failsafe system nya yan...

your engine runs hotter kaya kahit naka-off na yun engine eh engage pa yun radiator fan. ganyan din yun sa mazda 323 namin, naka-on yun radiator fan even when you turn the ignition to off especially during sunny days.
