me basic questions lang po sana akong tatanungin about aircons(mods paki-move na lang if this is in the wrong forum):

    1. when you say na nippon-denso aircon mo, which specific component ng aircon are you referring to, e.g. compressor, evaporator?

    3. Are there any aftermarket(not surplus) calsonic aircons available, or talagang OEM for Nissan lang un?

    4. any ballpark figure as to how much gas the aircon consumes?

    5. me "standard" sizes ba sya, or specific sya to the year/model of your car?

    1. It refers to the whole system compressor, condensers/fan, dryer/receiver, evaporator, expansion valve, thermostat, hoses, etc.

    2. Denso, Calsonic, Sanden, Mit Air, etc. are branded names. Parang din gamot yan may branded at generic. Mayroon din na Mark IV, Abacus, etc. w/c imo can be called generics na install ng mga aircon shops. Or it could be a combination of compressor na Denso, Evaporator ng Calsonic, etc.

    3. Sa pagkaalam ko sa casa lang mayrun brand new Calsonic (correct me guys if I'm)wrong) aircon parts.

4.No idea on this. But it does add considerable load to the engine. More load, more gas consumption.

    5. May mga specific model ang compressor, evaporator, condenser and fan/s for certain kind of cars, vans, suvs, auvs and buses. Computed po ang laki o liit ng mga components ng aircon as against the vehicle to which it is installed.

for 4: Opinion ko at obserbasyon ko lang....Sa city driving iba-iba...but I would say as much as 2km less per litter of fuel (mapagas or diesel)...so kung 13km/L ka magiging 11km/L....

meaning, the bigger the volume, you'll need a bigger compressor, evaporator, condenser and thus also more refrigerant in the system.

If you want to improve your car's cooling, I would suggest the following:

    1) Enhance the insulation of the car...doubling the insulation sa pagitan ng engine (under the dash board) is not a bad idea. You can also double the insulation on the part of the flooring where the exhaust system pass (mas mainit kasi duon)...highend materials to use DYNAMAT, lowend naman 3M FLASH BAND, cheap thin high-density foam (kamukha ito ng foam sa flooring), aluminized plastic foam (kung pang kisame na puting foam tapos me nakadikit na aluminum foil- get the thickest you can afford).

    2) Use tint na me UV-resist rating na mataas...usually yung mga tunay na 3M or other expensive brands (was it Mirareed which I have read to be a good brand but more expensive than 3M?)

    3) Clean your evaporator every 6 months.

    4) Clean your condenser (and radiator fins) often.

    5) Remove obstructions on your conderser para madali itong magdispate ng heat. Some horns or fog lamps are obstructing these.

    6) Add a high-speed (hi-rpm) auxiliary fan sa condenser-radiator.

    7) Make sure na me shroud pa ang radiator mo to maximize air-transfer...hindi ito hihigop ng air kung saan-saan.

    8) Make sure there is enough refrigerant in the system and that the pressure valves are working well.

i heard many stories that whenever somebody does a maintenance (cleaning) on their car a/c,

saka daw nagkakaroon ng sira, or lalong nasisira....

ganyan din experience ko sa lahat ng cars namin na na-servicean ang aircon. be it casa serviced or yung mga sa labas. yung corolla ae111 ko dati, hindi ginalaw yung aircon, ni minsan hindi napalinis yung evaporator, sobrang lamig pa rin nung binenta na after 4 yrs..

Depende siguro sa pinagpagawaan ninyo...minsan kasi ang lifespan ng aluminum evaporator and condenser ay 2-3 years lang...so pagnalinis, the corrosion that ate up a lot of the aluminum will be the origin of the new problem....remember pressurized yan. That's why a regular cleaning is recommended sa mga brand new vechicles kasi yung dust and moisture will be the one that would start the corrosion.

Maybe you should try other shops. I had my company car's aircon cleaned by the casa (NISSAN Pamp) and they did well naman.

    my 2 cents.

One probable reason on why the broken parts come out after the AC is cleaned is because the dirt removed use to cover up a leak.
