what does the drier do? irrepairable nga ba ito?

iimho. dryers i think are irreparable. i just don't know what they do.

dun sa corolla ng kuya ko pinapalitan ko na lang yung dryer nito, eto yung parang metal container na makikita sa may ilalim ng bumper. As far as i remember, it costs P600 ang surplus nito at so far (5 yrs ago na ito) ay ok pa naman.

suggestion lang, have your A/C system checked thoroughly.

ipa-check mo mga linya ng AC system mo kung may tagas, and kung kinakailangan ipababa mo evaporator and compressor and have them checked for leaks and cleaned.

Yung dati sa akin biglang nawala yung lamig, pina check ko yung mga linya may nakitang leak dun sa isang parang joint, pinalitan lang ng o-ring tapos karga freon oks na ulit.

Yung dryer ata eh yan ang pinaka-filter ng A/C system ng kotse, ang tamang term ata dyan is filter-dryer.

Experts korek me na lang kung mali ako about the dryer.

The filter drier basically does what its name says. Its a thick metal canister with silica gel - whenever the freon gets through it, it absorbs the moisture, at the same time filters it of dust.

You cant buy a surplus drier, mura lang naman ito from AC supply shops - 400-500 apiece. Shake to check if your old drier is really due for replacement, if it shakes like it contains a half-full of sand, then it means that the silica gel has been pulverized due to use, and it would already clog the valves on top of it.

can u suggest a reliable aircon shop that sells inexpensive drier n install them na rin.

ok bang bumili ng surplus na filter-drier? di ba mas ok kung brand new ang bilhin? syempre kapag gamit na yung filter-drier, madumi na ito. di mo alam kung kelan ito magka-clog. kung napabilis ang sira nito e di sayang lang sa labor at oras.

Bumibili na lang ako ng hindi orig na drier. At least brand new.

kapapalit ko lang nyan 300 lang peor hindi rin yung orig.
