This is my dads ride. It overheats when driven at 100 kph for a long period (about 30 mins). But when slowed down to 80 kph it cools down.

Any suggestions? Any chance this can be the engine thermostat? Is the TD27 sensitive to this?

Water pump? Whats the symptom? Did it solve your problem when you changed it?

check first if the radiator have the correct mixture of coolant and water, and not pure water only.

Check first the Thermostat, it could be stuck already so when the car revs/speed goes up, the coolant flow is inadequate.

It's quite rare for such an engine to overheat. Has the radiator been drained and cleaned already in the past? HOw are the belts?

Check also if theres any water and oil mixing in the cooling system. I'd advise against using the car until the problem can be solved.

Next step would be to check the belts, fans, and radiator then. Try to check also for any signs of oil mixing with the cooling system... That happened sa car ng friend ko and he needed an overhaul (buti nalang di cracked yung block)... he also had the same problems of heating up when the car ran at speed.

Why is it that when the temp gauge reaches the H scale we can still hold (with our bare hands)the cylinderhead cover and the radiator cover? And upon opening the radiator cap no steam comes out of the radiator just excess water? Parang operating temp lang ang heat. I'm talking of the same car kasi dumaan sa kamay ni cousin Ferdie ito ;)

Teka, sigurado kayong water pump?

And then check.

I called up mang gil re this dalawa daw yun sensor, how true kaya ito. anyways try mo nga yun water pump, nun una pina check ko yun vulcanize ng pulleys ok naman. pati clutch ng fan blade nilagyan na ng silicone. may I add that the cylinder head have been shaved (binkong na kasi) and installed with new head gasket.

Madali pang ikabit at alisin.

:bwahaha:

yup two. isang screw isang socket na plastic immediately above it.. pero pag yun may screw tinatanggal bumababa yun temp readings.
