what could be the reason for it to take as much as 5 minutes before the aircon starts to get cold?
when the aircon is turned on, malamig naman ang hangin, but not as cold as i think it should be, after around 5-10 minutes then the temperature reaches level i like.

March 7th, 2006 10:13 AM #4sir, napalitan na ba ng evaporator yan, kasi kung napalitan na at fabricated lang yung evaporator medyo matagal lumamig.

Well, a couple of things you can check for yourself.
Try pouring water onto the condenser as soon as you start the AC, if it cools fast, then your aux fans may be slow or condenser may be too dirty (clean the fins).
But your symptoms may be as simple as a dirty evaporator... possible din baka nagbabara na expansion valve mo.
I suggest you bring it to Zeagle's shop (Denso Coolmate)

March 7th, 2006 01:02 PM #9ahem... yung sinabi ni sir theeved.. este theveed.. very true yun kasi sakin pag ka nag pa engine wash at sabay pa clean yung condenser ang ginaw na ng aircon ko and to think tapos na din ako ng pa cleaning sa evaporator ko sabay change ng freon ko.. so dahil malinis na yung condenser ko tapos okey lng yun buga ng condenser fan.. ayun gumanaw na sya ng mabilis.. baka minor prob lng yan bro possible cause nga sa akin is yung di gaano maginaw kasi dinadaya ako sa freon hindi sakto yung freon na nilagay.. pa check mo na din kung may leak tapos yung condition ng a/c linya, evaporator, condenser, fan and fan ng aircon etc. gud luck!
