Revo rear a/c annoying sound

yung rear a/c ng revo ko may parang kuliglig na tumutunog. kailangan
pukpukin ko ng konti yung housing niya para tumahimik pero pag nadaan
ulit sa di magandang road iingay naman sia. May naka experience na rin
ba sa inyo ng ganito and ano ginawa nio ? If ever kaya ba i- DIY?

blower motor shaft/bushing has too much friction from dried up lubrication, specially if the car was soaked in flood. try spray on lubricants

It's caused by a worn out shaft bushing on the electric motor (blower motor).

In time, the lubrication dries up and the constant turning of the shaft eats through the bushing. This will make the shaft vibrate and oscillate.

You can lubricate it with a drop of motor oil to solve the noise. But expect the problem to come back once the oil has dried up.

Instead of oil, why not try some heavy duty automotive grease?

It should be better than just oil in this particular application.

additional question do you know how to dismantle the housing of the rear a/c of revo ? Wala kasi ako makita na screw or clips man lang. Can I use grease to lubricate the shaft bushing instead of motor oil?

I don't think grease can be applied without totally dismantling the blower motor (ie. shaft removed from the bushing). It'll be very difficult to apply grease with the shaft installed. Oil can readily penetrate through the tiny gap if you hold the motor upright and let gravity pull the oil in while manually rotating the shaft by hand.

here is another possibility, maybe you have a paper or some things in the blower fan. In my job here in Iba, Zambales, the most common thing i encountered in a noisy evaporator blower is a paper.

thanks for the reply guys. I will give it a try again this weekend. Nabaklas ko na kasi last Saturday yung housing ng rear a/c 1 screw and few clips lang pala ang kailangan tanggalin para ma remove yung housing. Kaya nga di ko na itinuloy at medyo madilim na

Hi sir lancepower, This past week until now, nariringgan ko din ng squeaking sound yung rear(passenger section) a/c ng revo ko. May I know how did you disassemble or unscrew the rear a/c? I also didn't see any screws from the outside and I'm afraid that if I just go on and stripped it, I might break it. Salamat sa tulong!

I also didn't see any screws from the outside and I'm afraid that if I just go on and stripped it, I might break it. Salamat sa tulong!

Yung mga screws nya nakatago sa magkabilang gilid at sa switch. Yung sa magkabilang gilid, hatakin mo lang pababa kasi naka clip lang naman yun tapos makikita mo na yung screws. Yung sa switch naman ganun din, hatakin mo lang pababa tapos makikita mo na din yung screws. Ang mahirap lang sa AC ng Revo is walang independent screw or bolt yung evaporator, kaya pag natanggal mo na yung casing, kasamang babagsak yung evaporator. Kelangan mag ingat kasi nakakabit pa yung mga refrigerant pipes nya.

Yung mga screws nya nakatago sa magkabilang gilid at sa switch. Yung sa magkabilang gilid, hatakin mo lang pababa kasi naka clip lang naman yun tapos makikita mo na yung screws. Yung sa switch naman ganun din, hatakin mo lang pababa tapos makikita mo na din yung screws.
