if i don't like the outside air to come in and dilute whatever nice character i have inside the car, i close the fresh air intake.
if i want to get rid of something ill-smelling inside the car and i don't want to roll down the windows, i open the fresh air intake.

TS, sa ibang country na di pollution at cold weather like in europe, mas gusto nila ang fresh air instead of a/c. either they open the fresh air intake or roll down windows or both.
