June 23rd, 2009 06:08 PM #2better replace your compressor with a brand new one before making any modifications. most of these surplus compressors are already on the last stage of their service life. at first they seem to be a bargain but they don't compare to a brand new one, it will only last a few months and their cooling efficiency is only half or less than half of a new one.

anu aircon mo sa likod? ung hanging or karaoke-type?
heck all new cars magkadikit lang ang condenser and radiator... pero ang tanong, 2 ba condenser mo?each has its own fan? and are the fand rotating at the right speed to have a maximum airflow sa condenser?
leaks... kung saan medyo malangis dun ung leak.

true on that kung SANDEN compressors gamit ng kotse.. pero like sa maxima ko na calsonic/hitachi ang compressor, buying b-new would cost 20,000 minimum! denso compressors starts from 15T. but sanden compressors only cost a maximum of 15T.
2nd refurbished compressor ang gamit ko sa maxima ko, and been using that refurbished compressor almost 5 years na..malamig parin, medyo maingay na nga lang...
the key pag magpapalit ka ng compressor, dapat full-cleaning: full flush the evaporator/s, condenser/s and all pipings! replace the receiver-drier and expansion valve/s.so that kung anu mang dumi maiwan sa pipings, evaporators and condensersay maalis at di pumunta na sa bago mong compressor... and kung mapapa-r-134a mo mas maganda.. kasi mas malamig ang 134a than r12.

By design medyo inefficient talaga a/c ng L300. Parang gumagana lang kapag bago.
The front a/c barely blows cold air through the small vents. The rear a/c has trouble sending cool air to the last row.
The lack of insulation in the L300's cabin compounds the problem even further.

Yes, because 100 degree boiling point is measured at sea level. What's interesting also is that...
