it needs cleaning, imho. madumi na yung components, specially yung fan, yung ducts tsaka baka yung mismong cooling coil.

kelan ka ba huling nagpalinis ng aircon system? kung matagl na, baka kelangan mo na palinisan lalo na yung evaporator kung san dumadaan ang hangin bago ito lumabas sa vents. kung mapapanood mo kung paano yan linisin, makikita mo kung gaanong kadumi minsan ang evaporator at ito ay nakakapekto sa pagpapalamig ng hangin. at syempre may amoy din.

siguraduhin mo lang na sa trusted shop ka pupunta at maghanda ng karagdagang pera kung sakaling meron nang kelangan palitan tulad ng dryer, expansion valve, etc. para isang tanggalan na lang.

probably, sign na yan that your aircon blower needs some cleaning na.
minsan naman, nahihigop niya yung odor/dust ng carpet/floor matting. nasa ilalim kasi ng dashboard ang a/c blower.

isang tip nga ni mang mario, to keep our car's carpet/matting clean or dust-free always para malinis ang hangin na nag-circulate sa loob ng tsikot natin.

Just to share: na experience ko na rin to thrice and everytime the culprit of the bad odor is a small dead mice inside the blower or inside the duct.

Kung amoy pawis, try mo paandarin ang fan ng ilang minuto with the compressor off para matuyo ang moisture sa linya ng vent from the evaporator. Ito ang kadalasang napapanis at nag-aamoy pawis kapag nag on tayo ng a/c the next time we use our car. Makakatulong rin ang uling -place it in a small container and put it under your seat.

ang ne-experience ko pa lang eh molds on my aircon system. it kinda happens especially if you park your car outside the garage too often and you use the "fresh air" duct too often. it introduces all kinds of stuff into your blower kase. nag-amoy basang medyas, yung tipong binabad mo sa tubig at sabo nga mga isang linggo kase lalabahan mo tapos nakalimutan mo na. :lol: cleaning lang naman ginawa

ito din problem ko. 7mos. pa lang oto ko ganon na amoy lumalabas, parang basahang basa na nakulob.. tingin ko sa car freshner din, gamit ko dati cali scents [jasmine] ngayon medyo nawawala na..

at most every two years, and at least every year.

regarding the mouse thing as posted by nico...
tutoo yun. yung dating oto ko, may pumasok na daga sa blower. dun siguro nagpahinga. tapos natyempo na nag start ako ng oto, kasama ang aircon. ayun, lurag-lurag ang katawan ng daga.

the bad thing here is that, di naman kaagad sya nangamoy..mga after one day pa, pero ang lufet ng amoy, wherein pag binuksan mo yung ac, eh talagang ang sang-sang ng amoy sa loob ng oto.

nung napalinis ko yung blower, sinama na rin yung other things to be cleaned dahil talagang nakadikit yung amoy.

but seriously, ano yung amoy? kung amoy patay, baka daga nga yan. if it's musty, you may have mold growing inside your a/c.

You might not have noticed it but sometimes, there are parts of your carpet that gets wet. Check mo drain pipe ng aircon, baka sa loob ng car mo na tumutulo ang tubig, di mo lang pansin because of the matting. The longer it stays wet, you will notice na nagkakaroon ng amag.

this is a very short but very deadly problem, in which, if not acted upon immediately, can cause death to the driver as well as to the other passengers of the car. known effects are loss of consciousness which may result in control of vehicle and can cause accidents specially if the vehicle is in motion or simply from asphyxiation. after effects of this problem are unknown except perhaps for some residue of foul smell discovered among the clothes of the victims.

the immediate action required if you encounter this situation is simple.... be sure to remain conscious enough for you just to open the windows.... hehehehehe.
