Guys,

Today, biglang nagkaroon ng unusual noise yung aircon ng venture ko. Parang "whooot" yung tunog. Hindi consistent, come and go yung sound. Ano kaya ito?

Expansion valve yan. May "whooot" sound din yung sa min dati 2 years ago. Usually lumalabas yung sound on acceleration and upon slowing down due to changes sa system pressure. Pinacheck ko sa casa, sira na raw yung expansion valve which costs ____ pesoses, nakalimutan ko na yung presyo pero mahal. Di ko na muna pinagalaw dahil lumalamig pa naman, ayun after 2 years wala na yung sound at malamig pa rin.

Apparently not. Ok pa yung aircon nung Venture namin up to now.

hnd prob ung nari2nig mong whooot, ksi sumisirit ung freon sa butas ng expansion valve papunta sa evaporator, it means cool, un ang sign na nagpproduce ng lamig, dahil hnd talaga pinupuno ng freon ang line ng aircondition kaya, there is an expansion s loob ng tubo, dahil nga maliit lng ang butas ng expansion valve mabagal lang ang labas ng freon s expansion valve that creates sound

konting clarification lang po mga friends. chevy venture's ac is CCOT (cycling clutch orifice tube type) so wala po itong expansion valve (baka ho kasi hanapin un exp valve hindi nyo makita) but yung sound is theoretically correct pwede rin kasi un flow sa orifice tube sometimes kulang na rin refrigerant or partially clog orifice tube. pwede rin ho siguro blower fan baka me sayad na rin or pwede rin yung actuation ng mga ac doors
