guys,
ride is Adventure SS '02. someone told me that i also need to open the aircon at the 2nd row when using the aircon even if there's no one at the back. para daw di masira yung aircon.
how true?

'Di ko alam yun ah. Totoo nga ba?
I always leave the second row aircon turned off, kasi most of the time dalawa lang kami ni misis sa loob. Tsaka malakas na yung aircon sa harap, sayang lang yung lamig sa likod. Pag sobrang tagal naka-park yung sasakyan under the sun at gusto kong matanggal agad yung init, dun ko lang binubuksan, tapos patay ulit after 5 minutes.
Di naman siguro. In the first place, bakit separate switches ginawa ng manufacturer instead of one? Probably, ang effect lang is the temp. inside, IMHO. Pag bukas ang dalawa, mapapalamig nya ng tama yung loob. Kung bukas lang yung sa harapan, baka di gaanong malamig kasi mas malaking area na ang palalamigin nya.
no need to do that if 2 lng kayo, some do it if the car is parked under the sun at mainit msyado sa loob.
yeah, i dont open it too pag 2 lang kami. pero someone told me kse daw isang line lang daw yung aircon blah blah... kaya para di masira both should be opened. ;)
yep both run on the same compressor, may sarili lng evaporator sa likod. well sa revo glx namin we dont turn it on if la tao sa likod n so far la naman prob.
jigs; tama yung nagsabi. napagusapan na namin ni lucktruck to dati. di ko lang makita yung previous post ko(maybe you can search it, ehehhehe). athough di ako Mech Enginneer, i almost deal with them all the time especially sa refrigeration. Me 98 adventure din ako dati. di ko rin open yung ac sa second row. until, sumakay sakin yung refrigeration consultant ng largest food & bev company dito sa SE asia. sabi nya di raw magandang din binubuksan ang blower ng isang a/c pag naka-on ito(i think nabasa ko rin ang isang post dito sa tsikot na toyota people now recomend this sa new innova). so that means dapat on din yung blower nya both sa front and kung mayroon rear. masama daw di nahahanginan(kahit mahina lang or 1 sa blower) ang isang coil pag may dumadaang refrigerant(freon). pati ang auto ac specialist namin tama raw yung consultant. added benefits are mabilis mukukuha ang desired temp and beneficial sa cooling coil. Imagine mo yung coil na almost freezing at walang hanging dumadaan. they also said na almost the same din ang working time ng compressor kung naka on or off ng likod ng a/c. kung me question ka pa PM me. add ko lang, nadiskubre nya lang to ng isuggest sa kanya ng refrigeration contractor nung nagloloko lagi yung vannete nya. tapos he review his ref subjects at sabi nga nya tama ah.![]()
bro tama c niwde11, same load din nmn kung nka open yung 2nd row blower mo. think 1 explaination ng mit air eh malakas kc ang load ng compressor ng adventure (design 2 handle 2 condenser) kung isa lng ang palagi gumagana malakas ang pressure ng na aabsorb ng 1st row condenser mo which may lead to leakage. example ko medyo malayo pero it make sense. my uncle owned a starex dual aircon din db... palgi lng nya ginagamit yung unahan after 6 months nabutas yung condenser nya and ang advice ng technician sa wheelers eh dpat nga buksan yung likod kht sa pinakamahinang blower.
Same advice from my father-in-law who owns an L300 and who used to work with refrigirator repair. Mine 2nd row blower is always set to low even if I'm the only one in.Originally Posted by niwde11
An aircon mechanic told me to turn on the second row blower, ang explanation niya is the first and 2nd row blowers share the same compressor, ang advantage is if you turn on the 2nd row blowers, mas efficient ang cooling sa ride mo hence nakakapahinga ang compressor mo.
mas nakakabaho rin daw ung unang buga ng hangin when it is not used for a long period of time. kung iisa lang naman ang compressor nila, why not open it na lang?
same experience here.. i just leave the rear blower at 1 kahit ako lang mag isa.
ngayun ko lang po ito nalaman ,lagi pa naman naka off ang rear aircon namin sa adventure pero now lagi ko na cya set sa 1. oks lang ba na di na off yung rear blower if papatayin ko na makina?? para pag on ko ng AC sa unahan automatically naka on na rin yung rear.
It all depends if your system has a solenoid valve that cuts off the flow of refrigerant to the rear evaporator when it is not in use. If this is so, then there is less work to your compressor. However, this does not matter because your compressor will have to work longer to sustain the desired temperature. In short halos parehas lang. In my opinion, I'd rather keep the rear cooling unit working because you get little benefit if you don't. It also makes it easier for your system maintain the desired temperature.
sa revo namin, laging naka set sa 1 yung fan..wala yata solenoid valve cut ang rear aircon, and sa tingin ko eh wala naman difference kung naka on yung fan or hindi..
ok yung question ni likot. ok lang ba na naka-1 yung aircon sa likod even if engine is off? para naka-on na siya automatically when you start your engine and aircon?
ok lang... blower naman yung ini-ON ng rotary switch sa likod na ang main fan control naman ay yung sa harap. yung thermostat control, ay nag-iisa lang sa harap ang control.Originally Posted by jovanne
oh better to super glue the rear aircon and set it to 1. hehehehehe until now naka on na lang lagi rear aircon ko kasi tinatamad ako mangapa everytime na on ko ang aircon.....Originally Posted by RafRaf

so, how do you find the adventure's airconditioning? malamig ba kahit natrapik ka sa EDSA during noon at summertime?
sobra. kahit summer na summer good na ang selector no. 1, thermostat halfway lang yan. kapag gabi then you set the front and rear blower sa no. 2 di mo kakayanin at ibabalik mo lang sa 1.... ngninig ka!!!! wala problema sa aircon malakas talaga!!!!Originally Posted by jovanne
