What is the cause of hissing sounds in an aircon? What if it comes on frequently? I sometimes hear this, and it is quite irritating.

*BlueBimmer,
I was told too na its from the Expansion Valve. Question lang, is it normal if it hisses like for around 5-10 seconds, in 10-20 second intervals?

Expansion valve yan. Quite normal. The on-off cycles signifies that the thermostat works.
