    peeps,

na experience niyo ba na after some minutes na naka on ang wiper niyo, it will start to drag on the windshield on the upward motion?

is there something that can be applied on either the wiper or the windshield to make it glide smoothly?

    thanks!

PajHERoY: Pare, sometimes the windshield is gummy and dirty coupled with dirty blades hence the drag.

theveed, pwera itong past 2 days, puro ulan daily, and even when the wiper is on either intermittently or continuous for an extended time, say 30 minutes nang umuulan, ganun pa rin yung behavior nung blade.

Yup... actually kung lumamla parang di na aandar yung blades... I suggest you buy a set of silicone wiper blades (Concorde has them) and try it out... It won't be a waste since you replace wiper blades every 6-8 months anyway, tago mo nalang if that's not the culprit.

It also helps if you use a good glass cleaner often. Often means at least 1x a week especially after long trips, night driving, etc.. Bugs, sap, diesel fumes etc bonds to the glass and can be hard to remove with regular soap and water.

Give the glass cleaner a try, use it diligently for a couple of weeks and see if it improves (without changing your current wipers)... If so, then it's the glass that needs cleaning... clean your blades at least once a week as well.

If it doesn't change, then you windshield might need polishing.

I think your wiper blade is bad already.
The drag is caused by the hard rubber that is not gliding through your windshield.

The best way is to apply baby oil and make it soft again. But this is remedial and temporary.

Don't put oil on the blade, it'll smear your windshield during rain, oil and water don't mix.

    Glass cleaners:

    Eagle One 20/20
    Turtle Wax Clearview
    Stoner's Invisible Glass
    3M Heavy Duty Glass Cleaner
    SprayWay

    All in True Value.

ghost: If you regularly clean your windshield with a good glass cleaner, 2x a year should be sufficient, once before the rainy season, one after the rainy season.

radc, siguro you need to have your windshield polished at big bert's na rin just a suggestion. Ganoon din dati sa windshield ko until I had it polised and the glass cleaner I used is rain-x ganda ng combination niya so when it rained smooth na ang galaw ng wiper ko.

Another thing madalas akong maglinis ng windshield mga 2 or 3 times a week, ang ginagawa ko first binabasa ko ang windshield ng tubig after that apply it with car shampoo lastly pag dry na ang windshield I apply the glass cleaner. Magastos nga lang sa glass cleaner and don't forget to clean the wiper.

just replaced my wiper set also, denso gamit ko. my squeeking sound sya pgmatagal na nka-on wipers ko. pero malinaw naman mgwipe. is it bec of rain-X kc i tried it a couple of times na but now i stopped using it thinking of it as the culprit wat you guys think? and also just recently bought a new car with a very distressing right wiper blade, ang lakas sobra mgdrag! i checked the wipers mukhang bago naman malambot pa. i also stopped using rain-X on it. one more thing i never used a glass cleaner before shampoo lang sabay sa pag carwash. hope you guys can help too..
