i had my previous mitsu lancer's windshield scratched by the wiper arm din ng matanggal yung pagka-clamp sa blade assembly. so nagkaroon ng deep scratch sa dinaanan ng clamp. buti one sweep lang at napatay ko rin agad wiper kaya not as deep as it could have been kung nakailang sweep pa siya. anyway, i bought this 3M glass scratch remover yata yun. after several application on my first try medyo bumaba yung pagkalalim nung scratch. after i think two more applications several weeks apart, medyo not so visible na siya. YMMV though.

Not a lot of shops do glass detailing, from what I've seen - and I'd be doubtful how well they do it, even if they did. Glass detailing, particularly removal of swirls and scratches, requires specialized glass polishing (rayon) pads and cerium-oxide based glass polishes, mainly because glass is so much harder than paint. You also really need a machine - preferably a rotary - if you're planning on doing more than cleaning up water marks; the effort required is just not something you can do manually.
