July 3rd, 2007 05:46 PM #341Hi LACars,
I had my Innova tinted at your place last Saturday c/o Ging. Great job! 3M medium black was placed on the existing 3M magic neutral tint in the windows and rear while the windshield was untouched. Looks great! parang 3M black chrome daw said one of your installers. It takes some getting used to at night but is manageable.
My question is this: with the 3m magic neutral tint on the windshield, there are times/angles where the dashboard (i.e. radio, which i plan to replace) is still visible. Ging suggested removing the magic neutral tint and replacing it 3M light black. Will this make the dashboard not visible and yet maintain for me the great visibility of the neutral tint?
Thanks!

Hi sir, thanks for the compliment. Your dashboard will always be seen with any tint except super black ( which we do not recommend at all for windshields ). I suggest a medium neutral black as it gives a dimensional effect. You won't be seen from the outside but could have great optical clarity viewing from the inside.

what's the shade of the 3m's that has a good heat rejection? gusto ko sana yung tintless na transparent na parang wala, pero mahal. anything close dun pwede na (black-ish shade sana).
1. almost no tint at all effect (i dont care about privacy)
2. good heat rejection
3. if there's nothing close to 3m and vkools transparent/colorless, ano? ok lang yung tint of black or gray na sobrang light. Malabo mata ko eh.

You can visit the 3M website for the heat rejection, light transmission and other specifications of their films.
Just google it.
The site is not that user friendly but you can work with it.

July 18th, 2007 10:47 PM #349hi guys,
if anyone has spare time to reply to my query, i'd really appreciate it.i called up a car shop along Pres. Ave. in BF Parañaque today and asked for info regarding solargard tint. the guy i spoke with told me that full tint would cost 2800 with the windshield tint in one piece. if it's two-piece, it'd cost 1800. 1K difference just for that?
the guy sounded sleepy so i'm not sure how reliable his answer was.
another question po: another car shop that i called up told me that they could install full tint (platinum) at a cheaper price (less than 2800). prior to this, some car shops along Pres. Ave. told me that they don't order platinum tints anymore because of negative feedback from customers. the tint badly affects vision daw. is there truth to this? the tint in question is platinum magic tint.
i hope you could advise me on this coz a lot of people who wrote on this thread usually have positive feedback on 3m, solargard, and sungard. meron din naman with platinum pero not as many.
thanks in advance!
