please correct me if I am wrong, but based on my research..

"Magic" is the common term people use to describe 3M Black Chrome (BC) series. Uses Metallic material so has that reflective, Glossy black look. It has higher VLR (Visible Light Reflectance) data versus 3M FX.

    3M BC-35 -- Light Magic (VRE 13%)
    3M BC-20 -- Dark Magic (VRE 20%)
    3M BC-10 -- Super Dark Magic Neutral (VRE 22%)

"Super Black" is the common term people use to describe 3M FX series. Uses Dyed material so has that Matte black look. It has lower VRE (Visible Light Reflectance) data versus 3M BC.

    3M FX-35 -- Light Black (VRE 5%)
    3M FX-20 -- Medium Black (VRE 5%)
    3M FX-5 -- Super Black (VRE 5%)

Instead na gamitin ung actual film name, dini-describe na lang nila as Super Black or Medium Black, etc. ang tint.

Ang mas bagong series ng 3M is the Crystalline (CR) at Color Stable (CS) series.

Thanks for the info about this 3M magic tint!

*Noel Salisipan: Thanks for pointing it out. Sa Huper Optik chart, ang ginamit na term is VLR which is "Visible Light Reflectance".

Effect of Material Used on Looks

Metallic - example, SolarGard HP Quantum series, 3M Black Chrome (BC) "Magic Neutral". Glossy black look. Higher VLR.

Dyed - example, SolarGard Supreme series, 3M FX "Super Black". with Matte look. Lower VLR.

Hybrid - example, HP Charcoal series with Sputter-metallized technology. Semi-reflective. Medium VLR.

Compared dun sa dealer sa santolan which cost will cost me around 5000 for installation of the tint for our toyota corolla.

I would like to ask some feed backs if meron ng nakapag painstall dito ng solar gard and how is your experience with them including the tint na ininstall.
Also I would like to ask feed back with cartronics, parang nag install din sila ng solargard.

By the way the solar gard tint im interested are the following:
HP charcoal 43 - for the windshield
HP charcoal 38 - for front side windows
HP charcoal 22 - for rear side windows and rear window

meron kayang available tints yung sa ortigas and cartronics, medyo priority ko kasi yun visibility specially at night for safety.

    Thanks

Much better to call Solar Gard regarding authenticity of tint from other installers.

    Solar Gard Branches

Alabang - 772-1513 look for Pilita or Jane Rose
Santolan - 725-5570 look for Rose or Ivy
Banawe - 516-2399 look for Julie or Irene.

    Solar Gard (Main)

    Mandaluyong - 534-5926 / 534-5927 / 531-3173 / 532-3167

By the way, nagpa-install na ako sa Solar Gard Santolan branch last Oct 29. HP Quantum 37 for windshield and front side windows ng Toyota Revo. Total cost = P3,400. with 5 year warranty.

Original target ko was HP Charcoal pero Charcoal 22 and 6 lang available nila that time which would be dark na for night driving.

Or pa-order kayo in advance if may gusto kayong specific series or VLT.

Sinamahan ko yung cousin ko nagpatint kami ng corolla ang pinalagay namin is hp quantum 28 for the windshield and hp quantum 19 on sides and rear.

I'm also planning na palagyan yung sa akin nang tint hp quantum 28 for the windshield and hp quantum 19 or 14 for the front window but I would like to go a little darker on the rear side window and rear window.

Ask ko lang based on the experience sa visibility at night and color match sa quantum series nang ibang nagpakabit na of the following:

    1. gsg10
    - vlt = 6
    - tser = 70
    - solar absorb = 64

    2. quantum/silver/quantum10
    - vlt = 9
    - tser = 72
    - solar absorb =70

    3. Solar Bronze 20
    - vlt = 22
    - tser = 78
    - solar absorb = 38

    4. hp quantum 14
    - vlt = 13
    - tser = 61
    - solar absorb = no data

By the way items 1, 2 & 3 are residential/commercial tints but I read that others are using gsg10 kaya isinama ko yung item 2 and 3 for comparison. Also the color of our car is beige kaya pwede siguro yun bronze color sa side and rear.

kung meron pong picture sa gabi ng visibility from inside the car mas maganda po and paki post na din yun tint combination sa car nyo.

    thanks

nang ngpa-install ako sa Santolan branch, final decision was between HP Quantum 28 vs HP Quantum 37 for windshield and front side windows. mas pinili namin ang HP Quantum 37 for that extra bump in clarity for night driving.

HP Quantum 28 is a misnomer. It should actually be renamed to HP Quantum 32 because of its 32% VLT.

hi, planning to go with Solar gard. Any advice for my requirements:

Salamat

sir mas maganda kung makita mo exactly kulay ng mga tints nila sa shop nila and ma-compare mo sa kulay ng car mo. they can also answer your queries better. i plan to go to their shop in santolan this saturday morning to replace my tint on the windshield and two front windows.

*autolover: Not sure if meron tint room sa Mandaluyong. Sa Santolan lang kasi kami nagpunta. Just call them na lang, nasa taas ang mga phone numbers.
