I met an agent in Glorieta last week and he said I am welcome to test-drive the models at their Alabang dealership.
    Isn't the A180 priced at Php 2.3M?

There were Merc agents at Glorieta last week with a display of the 2017 A180 with a price tag of 1.79M. They even had banners indicating "Affordable Luxury". It looks a lot better than the similarly priced VW Beetle 1.4T. Below is an article by TopGearPH on this Merc hatchback.

I know appreciation is subjective, but unlike the classic Beetle, I always picture any of the new Beetles ('98 to present) as a girl's car... something my wife or daughter would want to drive. I notice that women tend to find the new Beetle as 'cute'.... but not in a context that is in any way masculine. Rather, they find it cute like it's a piece of jewelry or purse.

That said, this is probably not the kind of car I'd want to see my grandpa drive. To me, it seems not age-appropriate and to a little extent, not gender-neutral.

Just my 2c. Thought I'd dish out some unsolicited opinion. ;)

Jut has a good point ... get what the heart desires ... then again ... real men don't lust for a VW beetle ... they go for the Golf ... The Mercedes Benz A180 is a better alternative ...
