Cube iTV Partners-up with Tsikot.com for Cable Automotive Show

Infocom Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of ePLDT, and Tsikot.com join forces to bring to Pinoy motoring enthusiasts Tsikot.Tv, a one-hour automotive show to be shown on Cube iTV Channel 67 in SkyCable and Home Cable. It will be shown daily, at the prime time slot of 8:30 - 9:30 PM.

Tsikot.Tv will provide the automotive content of the cable channel. The show will highlight videos of recent automotive events and shows, different car club activities, car reviews, auto-related DIY featurettes and buy and sell car classifieds. It will also show in the future featured “Tsikoteers” or Tsikot.com Community members and their rides.

Mr. Alejandro Cruz, head of the Consumer Business Group of Infocom, representing Cube iTV and Noel Martin Bautista, CEO of Tsikot E-Media, Inc., representing Tsikot.com, finalized the partnership in simple ceremonies held in Makati last March 7, 2008.

Cube iTV is the country’s leading 24/7 interactive chat channel today. Its various multimedia features allow members to interact and build their social network by exchanging SMS and MMS real-time on television. With over 130,000 active members across Globe, Smart and Sun, CUBE iTV has grown into more than the regular SMS-TV chat channel.

Launched in April 2005, CUBE iTV has progressed from a simple SMS-TV chatroom into a full-blown interactive TV channel.

On the other hand, Tsikot.com is the biggest and fastest growing automotive online community in the Philippines with present membership over 45,000. Tsikot.com has become the number one destination for automotive-related topics on the web, offering discussion forums, auto classifieds, reviews, galleries and automotive-related video content. The community receives more than five-million page views and more than 400,000 unique visitors a month.

Tsikot.Tv is presently in test broadcast over at Channel 67 in both Skycable and Home Cable. Cube iTV will also be available in several regional cable channel networks. Plans are afoot to air also in free tv via a UHF channel.
