Dito lang kami sa bahay. Pero, during Good Friday, we go to San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan (my wife's hometown) to participate in the Holy Week activities...

It wasn't like that some years ago. You could find peaceful and silent solace in the area. The same was true for Holy Adoration (Pink Sister) Church in Tagaytay. Now, they're tourist destinations.....

    Signs of times.....

not in our place dito sa tarlac... 24 hours nan-stop pabasa malapit sa bahay and they are using those big conical speakers that can be heard hanggang kabilang kanto! Hirap talaga matulog sa gabi.

getting idea from this thread on where to go...

Tama ka diyan Sir. P20/head singil nila. Ganda lang nung lugar kasi well maintained, tahimik. May ikinasal pa sa chapel nung pumasyal kami roon. May nakita kaming mga youngsters, nagpi-picnic near sa "hanging bridge".

The Grotto in San Jose del Monte is not a Catholic Church anymore.

It is being privately run by the owners. And the masses are most likely being said by Aglipayan priests.

Just for the information of everybody, matagal nang may Pastoral letter ang Diocese of Malolos na tinatanggalan sila ng karapatang mag misa, kasama na don ang dating simbahan ng Parish of the Holy Family sa Malolos.
