Sinira business model.

I agree. Boplaks LTFRB.

I think ltfrb is trying their best naman to balance between the volume of tnvs cars and traffic they’ll cause. If gawin nilang unlimited number of tnvs, sila naman masisisi for the horrendous traffic itll bring.
Sila na rin naglimit ng number of units for Grab and opened new lines for other players so theres no monopoly.

Now for the alleged corruption in ltfrb, sobrang nabawasan na significantly pero meron pa rin. A bus owner used to pay 800k monthly para sa mga padulas at walang huli ng units nya, now it’s only 150-200k na lang daw.

That amount goes to several players, not sure kung kasali ang ltfrb.

Grab Philippines started out in the Philippines as a taxi-hailing business. Their aim was to provide Filipino commuters a safer and more convenient way to get a taxi via their proprietary app/program. That's why when they launched here in 2013, they were called "GrabTaxi". Not ShareRide or ShareTaxi or Share. So allegation that it was a ride sharing business to begin with is all wrong.

Of course to earn money, they charged a booking fee for their service. The booking fee goes on top of the regular taxi fare, that is why they are more expensive for the commuter. You want the taxi to come to you, there's a way, but you gotta pay. Only fair, right?

I remember GrabTaxi people were at SM malls in 2013 promoting a new and safer and more convenient way of getting a taxi. They explained how the system worked and how to book a taxi using their app / program. They explained how they tied up with taxi operators to provide such a service.

From there the business grew to add a whole slew of other services like GrabCar (personal cars), GrabShare (car pooling), GrabExpress (delivery). But their orignal business model, GrabTaxi is still there. They just gave the commuter more choices.

actually, i was refering to uber.
and i believe that, even as grab bought uber, grab still has to operate it as a ride-sharing platform that it originally was meant to be.

The problem with uber eh ang yabang.

Maganda ngayon ginagaawa MMDA-LTFRB-IACT-HPG. Tulungan yan to improve.

The government is controlling pagdami ng sasakyan. Hindi na pwede madagdagan traffic.

Kita nyo nga this year bagsak sales kotse.

[emoji23]

After uber, grab naman iniipit.
