Taxi Driver mentality

This Grab driver refused to cancel the trip despite refusing carriage, so I called him & asked why. Spoke to him & told him that we avail of this service everyday (for our employees). But he was unreasonable & worst, didn’t do anything about it. I almost let it pass & would have simply cancelled it myself. But the warning that we may experience future difficulty in bookings due to cancellations was something we couldn’t afford especially in light of the monopoly. So I decided to submit a report & also call Grab CS to report him. CS rep said that the driver wouldn’t pick-up. After failed call attempts by HQ, the driver started sending messages to explain himself to me (knowing that HQ was calling). Sorry, too late, you had your chance. All of 30 min. You held me “hostage” bec I couldn’t re-book. All I wanted was a bit of courtesy & customer service. But the insistent driver decided otherwise. Maliit sanang bagay, but this tyrannical taxi driver mindset really needs to go.

I wish competition will come soon. I miss Uber, especially the roughly P70 & above difference savings compared to Grab. Grabe (pun intended).

before uber went global they already had investors lining up "please take my money i wanna be a shareholder"
