actually guys yan ang tanong sa akin ng friend ko. if papakasal ba sya sa boyfriend nya who works for airforce, may possibility kaya na makasama na sya agad pagbalik ng boyfriend nya sa US. kasi ang alam ko di ba 6 months to a year ang petition.

ano kaya ang the best nya na pwede nyang gawin para makasama sya pagbalik agad ng bf nya sa US. ang sabi nya the guy will stay here for 2 months. may possibility kaya?

she should try her best to get a tourist visa. then, she should marry him there and have him file a petition for her. the INS will let her stay in the country and work there while the petition is ongoing

sabi ng immigration lawyer sa akin nun, if nagpakasal sila sa pilipinas, pipilitin ng embassy na ipa spousal petition siya...so she'll be forced to wait the 6-12 mos before it's granted. so they'll be parted for that whole time.

so mas mabuti daw yung sa US na sila magpakasal. of course, this was a few years ago, so someone correct me if things have changed since then.

    anong dahilan at na-denied before?

OT.... joke on visa application... taken from ebay forum

    Lolo's visa application

This is a true story taken from one of the most read newspapers in our country.

A 70-year old 'lolo' from the province was accompanied by a grandson to the US Embassy in Manila for his VISA interview.

The lolo spoke not a word of English so the grandson translated for him.

The Consul told the young man to ask his grandfather why he wanted to go to the States.
"Bakit daw ho ninyo gustong pumunta sa Amerika?", the grandson translated.

"He said he wants to see his children there."

Fair enough, that's what the lolo's application indicated.

The Consul had another question. "Ask him why does he have to go there? Why can't his children just come and visit him here?"

The grandson translated this in Tagalog.

(Translation: "Tell him, my children were born here. They've seen the Philippines already. I just want to see America before I die.")

The HEARTLESS Consul was unimpressed as he declared, devoid of any emotion, that he was rejecting the visa application "because the applicant was unable to speak any word of English."

"Reject daw yung visa ninyo kasi hindi daw kayo marunong mag-Ingles."

The lolo was equally unimpressed.

Translated, "He said: You son of a b*tch, how come you are here... you do not know how to speak in Tagalog!?"

Taken aback, sense of humor still intact, the consul relented and approved lolo's visa application pronto.

    Go LoLo...mabuhay ang Pinoy!!!

nowadays you don't have to apply for a tourist visa if you're coming from australia. and probably japan, nz and some other. not sure about the electronic visa agreement.
