What is the fastest way from Laoag City to Baguio City? Google maps suggests Naguilian Road (Bauang, La Union). How's the road there? Haven't tried that road.

Naguilian lang talaga for the usual traveller.....ok naman. kagagawa lang last March. asphalt overlay on certain sections. wider than Kennon but narrower than Marcos hiway. caution lang dahil jan din ang ruta ng mga PUBs (Partas, Farinas, etc.)
Meron alternative, via Tagudin/Cervantes/Besang Pass pero lusot mo ay Mankayan tapos Buguias intersection. yan ang gusto kong subukan sa susunod papuntang Baguio. nasubukan na ng mga barkada kong riders. combination of rough and concrete roads daw.

Just arrived here in Baguio anhour ago. Took Naguilian Road. Maganda ang kalye, around 95% well paved and smooth. The curves are okay, sarap din maglaro lalo na pag sedan ang dala. It took me an hour and 15 minutesfrom Bauang to CJH. May portion na stop and go traffic due to road repairs.

syanga pala. para sa kaalaman ng karamihan.
eto ang huli kong survey sa fuel prices. to serve as your guide.
IF my memory serves me right (DIESEL fuel only).
1. Shell, Petron & Caltex * Tarlac city (P24 per liter). cheapest fuel. mas mura kesa EDSA gas stations. kaya tuwing galing akong MM e pangabot lang ng tarlac ang kinakarga ko. 24 hours operation
2. Shell * Agoo, La Union (P26 per liter. almost the same sa EDSA). 24 hours operation
3. Shell & Petron * Tagudin, Ilocos Sur (almost the same din with Agoo. tipong P0.50 lang ang imamahal). dito ako parati nagfifillup tuwing pupunta ng San Fernando, La union. 24 hours operation
4. Shell Narvacan, Ilocos Sur. (approx. P28 per liter vs. P30-35 beyond this point going north). eto yung shell station bago dumating ng Abra junction. kaso hanggang 8 or 9 PM lang ata ang operation.
