    thanks
220 volts pero just like what beachbum said, 3-prong ang plug. bili na lang sila pag dating sa airport ng adapter.

san sila stay? may hotel na ba? mahal ang hotel sa singapore. you can search the internet and you can find several hotels there that will fit your budget. tip ko lang, stay away from the geylang area. eto yung mga hotel na ang address ay "lorong #", sa geylang yun. pag gabi na e hindi na hotel ang mga yun kundi motel na, pang short time so hindi recommended for families. also try to stay away from the hotel 81 chain, motel ang mga yun and not recommended for families.

my whole family was here last week, from may 23-28. stay kami sa supreme hotel, cheap, 3-star lang. family room cost S$135/nite, no breakfast. there are 2 queen size beds and a sofa so it is good for 4 adults and 1 child. extra bed is S$20/nite. so kung madami sila (4 or more) and nagtitipid sa budget then you can go there. just search "supreme hotel singapore" and you will see their website. you need a credit card to book the room in advance. pag walk-in ka e mahirap this time at peak season, saka mas mahal ang walk-in rates (family room is S$178 yata pag walk-in). if you are really on a budget then there is the ymca/metropolitan hotel. they have apartments that rent out for weekly rates. affordable lalo na kung madami sila na mag-stay.

singapore zoo and nite safari is good. tip lang, do it in 1 day and nite. fee for adult is S$14 for the zoo, S$14 for the nite safari, BUT if you take the package it is only S$16 for both the zoo and nite safari. child cost less. the nite safari is basically the same shebang, only it is at nite. naiba lang ang entrance hahahaha! day zoo nasa left side ang entrance, night safari nasa right side. they have shows at night, yeah, good photo ops. BUT as far as the night safari is concerned your camera is practically useless! they will not let you use the flash so all you will get will be nothing but black with some streaks of light that you will not recognize later what the heck that is you took a photo of. kahit ano adjustment na gawin ko sa camera wala pa din. siguro if i can make the animals stay still for 10 seconds then maybe. yeah, try telling that to the rhino, "stay, don't move, i will take your photo" nyahahahaha! gumamit na ko ng tripod e blurr pa din ang pictures, puro ghost images at syempre gumagalaw sila noh. sinisigawan ko na nga, "hoy wag ka gagalaw bigyan kita kendi!" nagalaw pa din ang mga kumag e hehehehehe! kung may flash ok lang kaso nga bawal gumamit ng flash. baka daw gawin ka snack nung tiger o trampolin nung elephant pag gumamit ka ng flash. also make pila early for the shows. lalo na sa night safari, they have 3 shows at nite and they get fully booked very early.

sentosa, do not miss the cable car. go to mt faber cable car station and not to the one near the marina so you can have the whole length of the ride. disappointing lang ay yung dolphin show, it's not really something you can't miss. mas maganda dihamak ang ocean adventure show sa subic. they only have chinese pink dolphins (small), di gaya sa subic na malaki yung false killer whales and can throw the trainers up in the air. ang sa sentosa e sobra kapos ang show, you will not miss anything if you pass on it. lalo la kung nakita mo na ang show sa subic. do go very early to sentosa and be prepaired to stay until nite time to enjoy the whole place. expect to spend at least S$100/person (not including food ha) if they plan to try all the attractions. lahat may bayad. the mt faber fee of S$44/adult covers only the cable car ride, entrance to sentosa, underwater world, dolphin show and butterfly park. all the other attractions e extra pay (average S$12/ride). also bring several t-shirts. mainit, you will perspire a lot. kung ayaw mo maging kasing bango ng indian na katabi mo sa bus e dala ka ng at least 3 t-shirts hehehe! also go on a weekday. pag weekend e sobra dami tao. we were there on a saturday and we spent a lot of time on the bus que, probably 30% of our time was wasted queing for the bus.

and bring along a lot of patience wherever you go, and keep your head cool, dami tao na hindi marunong pumila. i swear i could have killed at least a hundred vietnamese, two hundred mainland chinese, and a thousand indians when we were there. nakapila kami tapos eto ang tour group bigla na lang sisingit sa pila. suddenly there are a hundred a$$holes in front of you and even if you tell them to que they will just look at you like they don't understand why you are ready to kill them and they will even laugh. kakainis. yung isang puti na nakasabay namin sa pila e sabi sa akin sana dala nya ang kanyang m-60 e dadanak ang dugo sa singapore hehehehehe!

don't bother going to snow city! the snow place at star city is much better! the only thing you will find in snow city is a snow slope, pila ka ng 30 minutes, you get on rubber tyre something, 3 seconds of sliding down the slope, and that's it. not worth the S$18 you need to pay to enter. at ang baho ng mga jackets and boots! you would not wear them if you had a choice!

shopping is good at this time since there is the great singapore sale going on. kaya lang hassle pag ang bibilhin mo e shoes, most of the sizes on sale are the big sizes. tyaga lang. don't even bother looking for the style you want then asking for the size. do it in reverse - look at the shoe box, find your size, see what is inside and if you like what you find then that's it. if you go looking for the style first then ask the sales people for your size, after 15 minutes of waiting the answer will be the same, "sorry no size for you". also remember that for any purchase you make that costs S$100 or more, get the GST refund form. tell them you want the refund form or else they will not give it to you. you can refund the 5% sales tax (the GST) at the airport on your way home.

don't miss the jurong bird park, ok dun. during the show stay at the center of the theater, about 10 seats from the front or at the center of the side seats if you want to be chosen as a "prop". bida ka sa pictures pag napili ka na taga-hawak ng hula hoop or to have one of the macaques come to you to feed from your hand.

food? beside meridien hotel along orchard road madami kaainaan dun na mura lang. you can experience the best (well, most of it) singapore has to offer from the street restos there. also there is lucky plaza, cheap din dun. well, any hawkers place is good and cheap as long as you don't mind using plastic forks and spoons. don't miss the chilly crab (bring a bib or a towel. it gets messy hehehehe!)

and the great singapore sale is up to july 22... pinapaubos talaga nila ang mga stocks... lahat ng nabili ko 50% off

    kimpoy,

magkatalikod lang pala hotel natin! dito ulit ako, hinatid ko lang pauwi family ko monday nite then balik ulit dito wednesday afternoon. work. well, pretending to work nyahahahaha! naubos na pera so need kumita ulit.

yung lucky plaza e yung filipino resto lang ang kay erap, not the whole building. cheap din shopping dun, a lot cheaper than suntec. pero syempre cheaper ang bugis.

go to boat quay, not clark quay. mas mura sa boat quay.

go to little india, bugis, etc. for souvenirs.

sentosa was hohum for me, except for the cable car ride. astig.

mag-night safari ka ren, very nice. jurong bird park is a haven for photographers, pero iwas ka lang sa baka may bird flu.

if you want to buy electronics, go to zimlin square.

yep, tons of hostels in the "red light" district. a friend of mine got a room for 10 S$ per night.

when i was there, i actually walked on the side streets of orchard road, with dslr in tow. you'd be surprised with what you'd see. temples, hawkers, street markets, etc.
