MANILA, Philippines – Filipinos may expect a long holiday this Christmas following the declaration of December 24th and the 31st as "special non-working holidays" by President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.

With the expected influx of travelers to the provinces, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) are readying special permits to bus companies and other public utility vehicle operators that offer trips to the provinces this Christmas season.

The LTFRB said the special permits will be out by December 20th, to ensure there will be no shortage in buses for the provinces. – Report from ANC's Top Stories

this was part of the 2010 holiday schedule signed by then pres gma. if it wasn't trashed, as what his gov't has been doing since day 1, by pres noy, then this is nothing but papogi from a fast sinking gov't.

anyway, this is still good for the pinoys who are keeping this country's economy alive.

I still prefer a Dec. 30 Holiday instead of Dec. 27 though.

I understand that any company can accommodate that, bro.

But I guess it will be the arrangement for the whole company...
