Yup! For me, blue is the way to go sa mga luggage.

    - Understated
    - Stands out sa conveyor without being too eye catching
    - Low maintenance

old model mylon. quite heavy I must say. i also have somewhere in storage sa house an older version of this second pic in blue the one without the ridges. not much of a looker IMO but I think it was cheap at clearance sale so I often see a lot of them blue and grey in airport conveyors.

    Maganda nga

Last year nasira wheels ng hand carry ko na more than 10 yrs old na rin, sa Target lang ata binili ng Mommy ko. I couldn't replace because the size is perfect so I'll just have it repaired.

The Cosmolite is actually Samsonite's flagship model. It's priced just like a Tumi or Rimowa. Good reviews on that product, matibay but light.

Although all Cosmolites have ridges so you might have a different model (maybe the F'Lite?)

May locally available version yang luggage ni Blanc if you like. Travel Basic yung brand, saw it in SM dep store before. Around 4k. Same siya even the wheels, wala lang yung Penguin branding.

The features that were exclusive to high-end luggage before (TSA lock, 2 spinner wheels on each side, expandable zipper, separate pouch for carry-on) are all available now even on generic luggage. Build quality, durability, and style nalang talaga differentiator.

But even style ginagaya na - saw a Travel Basic luggage na ripoff ng American Tourister Curio:

If I were to match car brands with luggage brands to form a hierarchy, would be:

    1. Rimowa = Mercedes-Benz (solid heritage, conservative)

    2. Tumi = BMW (loaded with tech)

    3. Briggs & Riley = Lexus (lifetime warranty, dependable)

    4. Zero Halliburton = Jaguar (iconic, not too common)

    5. Brics = Alfa Romeo (Italian, stylish, niche)

    6. Samsonite = Toyota (ubiquitous, broad range, safe choice)

    7. Delsey = Mitsubishi (alternative to Samsonite, generally good, also common)

    8. American Tourister = Daihatsu/Scion (Samsonite budget brand)

nakita ko na! may ridges nga but i do not know what model it is exactly called. misis uses a grey one. i remember I had a sticking spinner wheel before. Samsonite in MOA was kind enough to replace the wheel free of charge.

Looks like a Firelite bro, another of Samsonite's flagships. Very nice and matibay.

This is interesting thread kasi hindi naman magamit ang mga luggage natin ngayon haha, last year i was walking sa mall then nadaan ako sa mga luggage area, nakita ko sales man nag dedemo ng luggage sa customer, tumatalon sya sa ibabaw ng full size luggage demonstrating how tough his product then sabi nya tanim bala proof daw paninda nya luggage because it has double sided zipper yata tawag dun then pinakita.nya how easy to prick the ordinary zipper and put a bullet then he shows his demo luggage tried to prick and open pero hindi ma open zipper, in short na sales talk ako and bought his luggage kasi na ka 50% sale, and si wife lagi naman nasa abroad beacause of her work, so far naka dalawang out of the country na and some domestic, the brand is patriot, cheap luggage made in china.
