I guess the 777s are more economical to manage and plan for routes versus a 747?

At least di na problema congestion sa NAIA. No need for a co-pilot pa :D

Kaya both 747 and A380 matumal ang benta. Buti na lang may 747-8f ang Boeing pang-freight (cargo). Yun halos bumubuhay pa sa 747 fleet.

    Yes,- cost is driving everything....

And you could just imagine the stringent qualification of two-engined planes before being certified to do long-haul flights, especially the trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic....

A380? Airbus is looking at 60-100 A380s heading to China.....

Bro- Maybe you're referring for the A340 (4-engined plane too)...

The article is dated Sept 19, 2017.

A380 is the new double decker...

Boeing's response are short/mid range planes... I love the Dreamliner

Air France engine failure forces emergency landing in Canada

Engine on this one was made by Engine Alliance. IIRC Rolls Royce made the engine that failed in 2010. Wonder if the Rolls Royce engines are safer now.

An A380 with EA engines? I hope that's just an isolated case that was caused by a faulty maintenance, not a faulty design.

RR have fixed their engines on the A380s since that incident 7 years ago.
