    Hello mga gurus,,,
    I have a Toyota Hi-ace 1999 A/T Super Custom(Subic)...
    My questions are...

    Thanks in advance...

the only way to drain the atf is to tear it down for o/haul and you have to drain the torque converter too. but there is an alternative way; kinda like dialysis, the old fluid comes out by pressure of the a/t pump while the engine is running and transaxle constantly monitored and replenished with fresh atf.
yes there is a throttle valve cable connected to the throttle quadrant that is used by the accelerator cable. its job is to adjust the line pressure in proportion to the throttle opening.
the adjustment for aisin warner transaxle of your type is from 0 to 1.5 mm of the crimped clip around the cable measured from the red silicone sleeve tip (red silicone sleeve is used to cover the cable tube from debris and used as a basis for the t.v. cable adjustment.
yes, if the cable is adjusted to maximum, the likelihood of premature wear of damage can occur

    Thanks in advance ulet huh...

i don't personally have one of this particular vehicle but i trained on them at the aisin warner location and in nisshin at the toyota education center in nagoya years back.
to check your atf level, park the vehicle on a flat level surface, with the engine running and service brakes applied, shift from P to all gears and holding at that gear for about two seconds then back to park. with the engine still running, pull transaxle dipstick out and wipe with a lint free rag and reinsert. pull dipstick out again and check fluid level.

You'll have to remove the bolts of the valve body to access the A/T filter.
    Sorry I dont have pictures.

    Hello jick,

I have another questions about the A/T Tranny again...Bakit nga pala kailangan na umaandar yung makina pag ichecheck ko yung ATF level nya?
