When idling, usually waiting for something/someone, for more than a few minutes...say 30 minutes or so, do you put the transmission in N or in P? Seems like a gray area in the user manual.

I don't wanna turn-off the engine instead since i need the aircon running...

N or P should be ok. Park is used if you would alight from the vehicle. I wouldnt recommend idling for 30 minutes regularly though.

Waiting for the green sa stop light?

I guess the only time I use the park is when I turn off the engine.

Yung OD pwede ba on/off habang umaandar yung sasakyan? TIA

    p-park...obvious, park
    r-reverse
    n-neutral
    d-drive
d4-4thgear(optional, if theres no OD switch)
d3-3rd gear(optional, if theres no OD switch)
    d2/2-second gear
    L/1-first gear

+/- mode: semi auto mode...acts like a manual tranny..

OD- normally you just left it on...for optimum fuel efficiency..

i tell you, matututo ka lang ng a/t kung meron ka na..kung wala, di ka talaga matututo...as per experience, diba?

most new cars, hindi magstart unless nasa P ang shifter mo.
for normal driving, use D. kung meron overdrive (OD) switch ang car mo, usually wala ng D3 (for 4-speed A/T). use D2 or D1 for steep inclines or downhills.

when you press hard on the accelerator, the transmission will downshift. no need to shift it manually. unless your A/T is the steptronic type.

pwede mo apakan ng todo, automatic na mag-ddown shift un, pwede mo din i-off muna ung OD(or shift to D3), ganun din effect nun...
