gud day guys, napa drain and pinalitan ko na bago atf ung civic ko but still the same. basta bagong start or cold start, maganda takbo laging nagshi-shift ung gear pero once uminit na yung makina then huminto ka ng matagal something like na-trafic ka for 5mins or nagpa-gas ka lang, patayin or hindi mo man ung makina, once na umandar ka ulit di na naman magshi-shift ung gear. laging ganito daily. tinignan na ng friend ko lahat ng wirings papunta sa computer box pero ok naman daw lahat.

do you think there's something wrong na with the transmission? suggest nya convert na lang daw namin sa M/T dahil mas less ang gastos kesa paayos ung A/T nya.

if you go manual you have to replace a couple of things including your computerbox, iacv, pedals, shifter linkage, flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing, clutch primary, plus the tranny itself. a couple more things also that i'm probably leaving out.

Troubleshooting AT is extremely difficult, but in most cases yung torque converter ang may problema or yung TCM...

Geoffrey: Please do a search for the location, number and direction for the 2 shops mentioned.

    try
    1. replacing the auto transmission fluid
    2. resetting the computer (by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about 5 minutes)
    3. also to install a grounding kit from negative terminal to the transmission body (wild suggestion lang)

there's an A/T specialist near tesda in the east service road of bicutan (near fort bonifacio gate 3

AND.... they are open 24 hours. though they dont work 24 hours, they accept your car and entertain your problem even at the middle of the night. i think jun and some of his crew are stay in or live in the same vicinity.

there is another a/t shop in visayas ave, q.c. the name is "automatic transmission specialist". good feedback from them also. though i dont know which one is better or which one is cheaper.

just get a surplus one... might be easier and better than rebuilding the engine.
