yan nga ang kinaiinisan ko sa sarili ko. minsan mas nauuna pa akong umapak sa clutch kesa brake, kaya napapalusong ung kotse, tapos apak ng todo sa brake. quite nauseating for your passengers.
the first time i went to driving school, tinuruan ako ng instructor na timplahin ung clutch when navigating through heavy traffic; i.e. just raise the clutch a little bit para umandar ng konti. masama rin ba to?

February 4th, 2009 06:22 AM #32clutch is only meant for shifting. depress only if you are definite at shifting gears, else leave it engaged.
babad clutch would yield to premature wear of the bearing and pressure plate fingers - this is a first hand experience. i chaged at 75k because of bad driving habits years ago (babad clutch and hard engine braking)

February 4th, 2009 01:21 PM #34ang sa akin naman na lancer last sunday ayon na palitan na ng bago clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing grabe sunog yung pressure plate. inabot ako ng 10t kasi sira na din yung tie rod atska yung rock end.
sabi ng mekaniko ganun talaga pag babae ang gagamit. pinapraktisan ko pa kasi although palitin na din talaga ung clutch nya. Tapos pinaktrisan ko pa ayun lalong lumala. tapos nung ginawa malambot na sya ayus ng gamitin.
kaya iwasan ko na talaga yung pag kaka clutch lagi mas nauna pang clutch ko kay sa break pag nag full stop..hehehe
more practice pa talaga ako sa driving skills ko.. naawa ako sa car namin pero wala choice eh ako lang talaga ang gagamit at mag drive kasi wala si hubby...
kapagod at nakakatamad mag drive....

February 14th, 2009 12:45 AM #35ako ginagawa ko, kapag liliko na (right or left) o kaya pag malapit na sa humps, nagmemenor na ko di ko na inaapakan yung gas then pag malapit na or bumabagal na -- apak clutch, shift to neutral, release yung clutch, alalay sa brake, then kapag ok na ulet umarangkada (nakalampas na sa humps or tapos na mag turn) apak sa clutch, (from neutral) usually shift to 2nd gear pag maganda pa takbo, pero pag sobrang bagal na talaga, 1st gear muna ko then slowly release the clutch.. (paki correct na lang nung iba kung may mali, hehe) mahalaga talaga, wag mababad sa clutch yung paa mo.. buti na lang yung pinsan ko maaga inalis yung clutch habit ko.. dati kasi nung babad din ako sa clutch, minsan amoy na amoy sunog talaga...
