    So either way, I had to pull down the transmission... but I'm a bit hesitant to crack open the transmission and replace the syncros {this advice came from a mechanic/shop nearby} because its ok when the engine is cool. Anyway, I'll see what I can do, but I guess I dont have any choice. Thanks for the replies anyway

    That would be inevitable kung trans talaga problema. Dapat masigurado kung pressure plate ang problema para di na magbukas ng transmission. Anyway, di naman papalitan ang synchronizers kung okay pa.

    One of the clutch cylinder dapat palitan na. Dalawa kasi yan, yung isa ay nasa taas na ang tawag ay clutch master cylinder, usually katabi nito ang brake master cylinder, ang nasa baba naman ay slave cylinder na nakakabit sa tansmission assembly. Ganyan din sinabi ng mekaniko sakin, na ibaba na ang transmission. I respect their opinion but i trust my judgement. pinapalitan ko ang slave cylinder kasi bagong palit lang ang clutch master cylinder nung mag leak ito, since then naging smooth na ang shifting ng gear na parang brand new ang transmission.

    Correct. Start with the simplest and most obvious things first in diagnosis para di mapasubo sa malakihan, magastos at useless repairs.

    i'll bet it's the clutch disc. nag glazed na masyado yan friction material (parang brake pads yan nag glazed na sa init) kaya pag mainit na ayaw ng kumapit at slide na. pag palit ng disc isabay na ang pressure plate, release bearing and check yan flywheel surface, check the pilot bearing na rin.

    I forgot to mention, sa start up ng engine mahirap i-shift sa lahat ng gears pati sa reverse, pero pag mainit na ang engine pumapasok na or the moment na pumasok na sa kahit isang gear ay ok na sa lahat gear ang shifting.

    Pero me reverse scenario kapang dadaanan, this time pag mainit na ang engine at nasa kalsada ka na at susumpong pa rin ang hardshiting na parang ayaw mo na mag neutral kasi di siya agad papasok sa kahit anung gears na, pero pag pinilit mo ay papasok pa rin naman lalo na mahaba na ang nasa likod mo inaantay ka ng umusad.

    The worst scenario ay bigla na lang di na talaga papasok ang gear kung kelan nasa traffic ka.

    That happened to me last Dec 25 ng gabi na sarado lahat ng talyer at nasa alanganing lugar pa.

    We have the same problem bro, mine is an AE92 also but the "Small body". This has been happening lately lang, but the thing is ma-e-experience ko lang sya sa simula(pagbukas ng engine) as in ang hirap ipasok ng primera tapos kapag magrereverse na ako(Primera at Reverse lang ung napansin ko na mahirap i-kambyo), sumasayad sya (Yung bang para kang nag-kambyo ng di nakatapak sa clutch pedal) pero kapag running na or nainitan na ung makina okay na sya, smooth na ung transmission. I had it checked and nalaman ko butas na pala ung secondary/slave cylinder and wala na halos laman ung clutch fluid reservoir. so I had it repair and filled it up with fluid, mas smooth na ung transmission even on running pero nung na-garahe ko na after an hour at aayusin ko na ung parking nya, sumasabit nanaman ulit ung "Reverse" tho, baka kanina lang and will check ulit bukas.

    Check mo ung mga Cyclinders(Master/Slave) baka butas lang.

    Update ko lang 'tong post ko. Di na sya mahirap i-shift kahit unang bukas lang. so, the aforementioned solution solved my problem

Hard to Shift when engine is hot
