Tukod ang clutch disc mo, it will need some minor adjustments on your clutch lever. Mga OE specs madikit talaga ang settings, para di mo agad babatakin ng mabilis ang makina. Lalo na kung bago pa ang parts normal yan. Let it run for a coupe of months more to wear the ticker part and check if it still persists, then adjust.

Most modern trannys will not allow you to shift back to reverse from 5th gear on any 5 speed manual gear box.
You could try if the lock still works by depressing your clutch while the engine is not running shift to 5th gear then lower it to reverse. The lock will not allow you to shift it until lever is shaken in neutral postion.

December 13th, 2003 07:07 AM #48ganda naman ng tread ninyo about cluch driving base sa expirience ko ( daily basis drive ko via kennon road baguio)and sa mga parking lot sa mall..
#1) Let's say, your car is parked at the basement, for example, in Robinson Galleria basement parking...
As soon as you pay your parking fee....you are faced with a Long Deep inclined road way up...
If your driving your car, what do you do?
Normally tawag nila dito nakabitin...i normally use the clutch and gas pedal timpla lang yan with the help of hand break para pag bigay ng recibo syo push hand break down lang uusad kana ng hindi umaatras ang ride mo...
2) Last year I parked my diesel pick-up in a supermarket basement parking, it was raining heavily, as I alighted, you know driving my pick-up van up the runway...inclined eh, the pick-up couldnt go further up. In short, umatras ang sasakyan na pababa...
Luckily, there was no car behind me...if not, wreck talaga.
Thank God, hindi nangyari eto. Well, after 3 tries, I was able to drive my pick-up way up the runway.
...Umakyat ang pick-up when I pressed the clutch halfway, hindi naka Full depressed, mga kalahati lang...Naka-akyat na yung pick-up.
Did I do the correct way? How do you drive your car?..
sa tingin ko dyan kulang ng RPM ang timpla mo ng clutch at gas..medyo kinulang kasa power advice ko ialign mo ang ride mo then timplahan mo sa gas without releasing the cluch para makuha mo yung power na kelangan mo para paangatin ang sasakyan mo..normaly malalaman mo yan slowrelease ng cluch(timpla)as you step on your gas din...
#3) 3rdly, lets say your driving up to the parking runway of SM Megamall, it's a long curve drive di ba...How do you used the clutch and gas pedal and gear shift?
depende sa approach mo kung ano gusto mong kung type mo mabilis mag 1st gear ka without steping on the cluch hehe...pag type mo medyo safe ka go 2nd Gear with minimal gas without steping on the clutch..
#4) eh kung pababa na, lets say, pababa ka na sa runway, what do you used to go down...clutch and brake lang ba?
pag ihahanbing mo sya sa steepness ng kennon pababa..normally nasa 3rd gear ako with minimal step on the break pag type mong medyo bumagal ang speed mo pag gusto mo pang mabagal 2nd gear ka naman normally pag cornering kana.at least you have the power of the engine at yung break mo if needed..
#5) Kung pababa ka sa isang slippery road, what gear shift is safe? and how do you apply clutch and brake?
this question all adds up to your tire..kung medyo manipis na ang grid ng gulong mo kadalasan nag slip na ito...pero kung oks naman same as nasa 4..
#6) Lastly, if you are running so fast, lets say, naka 120 ka sa speedometer...then stop light na, within 10 meters ahead...what do you do to properly stop your car? as in from 5th gear...oaano mo gagawin...at paano ka mag-preno?..
be a defensive driver pag alam mong may traffic light ahead slowdown..hehehe..pero pag type mo rin go for the break then clutch till full stop wag ka lang mapunta sa gitna at banga ang abot mo hehehhe..
comment ko lang po bow

What is the best way to lengthen the life of my clutch disk?
Everybody knows the clutch is a consumable item and has an average lifetime of anywhere from 80,000 to 160,000 kilometers to it. But with proper care, you can make it last much longer than that.
There are actually two parts of the clutch that wear out.
First is the clutch disc -- which is basically a metal plate covered in frictional fiber that goes between the flywheel and the pressure plate. When the clutch is engaged, the disc is "squeezed" or “grabbed” between the flywheel and pressure plate, and power from the engine is transmitted to the input shaft of the transmission. In simple terms, the clutch disc has to be “squeezed” to allow for smooth starts from a stop and for smooth shifting from one gear up or down to the next. The way you ruin the disc is by taking a long time to get into, and out of, each gear. That's called "riding the clutch" and avoiding this is the key to long clutch life.
The other part of the clutch that wears out is the throw-out or release bearing. That's the part that presses against the pressure plate and "releases" the disc. How to help preserve it? When you're driving a manual transmission car and you stop at a red light, simply shift into neutral and take your foot off the clutch. Of course, some things simply can’t be avoided. For instance, city driving usually wears out the clutch faster than long-distance or “super-highway” driving -- simply because you have no choice but to depress the clutch pedal more often during rush-hour traffic. But the worst clutch abuse usually happens when you hold the clutch part-way in to make the car go slower. Under this condition the clutch is continually engaged, and a lot of wear takes place. To lengthen clutch life, “baby” the clutch. No "jack-rabbit" starts, ease the clutch out when shifting, and don’t "pop" the clutch.
