    You should be thankful, it means your transmission's not leaking.

    ATF is not "consumed" in the same way that engine oil is, where a small amount invariably reaches the combustion chamber and burned off. On well-maintained engines, this is minimized but on others, the amount of oil burned is significant, causing visible smoke in the exhaust.

    Just a quick thought, most of the service advisers here in Kia Cebu tells you that the ATF is usually for life, as long as there is no leak? For me, I would wish it will be like this, but also, I don't want to risk spending after destroying my ride.. What do you say?

    Nagpa-transtech ako this afternoon.. Grabe sobrang itim na ang lumabas at medyo di na maganda amoy. Mukhang hindi raw pinalitan nung previous owner mula nung binili....

    Naubos mga 15 liters ng ATF.. Bandang 12 liters medyo ok na pero gusto ko yung talagang malinis na.. so add pa 3

    Naging smooth shifting ng auto at bumilis din shifting. Recommended ang flushing pag matagal na hindi napalitan ATF. Next time pwede ng drain and refill na lang.

    Ok ba na synthetic ang gamitin ko next time? civic 97 po ride ko.

    Remember that 'life' is relative. In some markets, vehicles rarely reach their 7th year before they are scrapped. Either because of legislation or because ownership becomes a hassle after said period (inspections become annual, high cost of repair labor, etc.).

    As BMW has proven with their so-called 'for life' ATF, in their 'sealed' transmissions, nothings beats getting new fluid in there at regular intervals.

    san ba magandang magpagawa ng transmission na may leak ?mazda 323 familia automatic, meron ba malapit sa taft/vito cruz ? hirap kasi baka lalo lang masira pag-ala tsamba ang gagawa. salamat in advance
