Coasting in Neutral or Gear to Save Gas - Coasting and Fuel Economy
So it’s coasting in gear or coasting in neutral (freewheeling). CIG would consume no fuel but CIN, while dangerous, consumes a little fuel (as much as idling in traffic. Article says 4 gallons per hour). My drive computer would attest to this.Last edited by bloowolf; July 29th, 2018 at 07:36 AM.

September 25th, 2018 04:51 PM #22I must say I have a great driving habits. I agree with #1, #2 and #4. Specially number four. Tailgating increase the chances of collision. Which is why trucks has a sign "keep distance". However, most motorists doesn't practice it which is really bad.
