sa advie ko, hindi ko gaanong magawa yung ganun since mejo mahaba ang body.

what if hindi sudden stop ang reason ng collision? what if a car suddenly changed into your lane (cinut ka) and by reason of it, nasagi mo yung rear? or what if in a highway, a car suddenly made a wide turn from a merging street/intersection?

nangyari na saken kasi yung 2nd scenario. galing akong marikina going to batasan hills, e highway siya kaya mdyo mabibilis yung mga kotse dun. Takbo ko nun is about 60kph then sa isang intersection, biglang my pumasok na motor na malaki yung turn na umabot hanggang innerlane ng highway. Nasa innerlane ako and i slowed down malayo palang and i even pressed my horns which caused him to suddenly stop, nataranta ata. to cut the long story short, tinamaan ko yung motor, good thing minor lang yung injuries nya kasi ndi naman sya tumilapon but the bad thing is punit yung bumper ko. That was my first accident kaya hinayaan ko lang sya kasi alam kong wala dn nmng maiaabot sakin ung tao. I admit my kasalanan ako, i should have stopped at the intersection but he also has fault kasi ang laki ng liko nya, akala ko d masasakop yung lane ko.

It happened 2-3 months ago na. So here it is.

I was driving at this street, my cruise speed is 40-50km/h, since I'm not a tailgater driver (I always drive with at least 3-6 meters distance between the car in front of me and mine), at my back is a tailgating motorcycle (lam niyo naman mga nagmomotorsiklo).

So back at the story, ang nasa harap ko ay isang bulok na sasakyan (70's or 80's pa ang model so luma na talaga). Nasa gitna ng kalye yung lane namin so cruising at around 40-50km/h, bigla siyang prumeno nang walang ka-abog-abog and dahil wala itong brake lights, hindi ko napansin kung brake to the metal nga ang ginawa niya. Napansin ko nalang na kailangan ko na palang umapak ng malakas sa brakes and then..

ayun, I did'nt hit the lokbu car, and bam, yung motorsiklo sa likod ko ang tumama sa akin. wasak headlights niya and nayupi likod ng advie ko bwiset. I looked at the lokbu car, ayun mga 5 lalake ang nasa loob, mukhang mga goons, kinatok ko pero nagmamadali daw sila at may pupuntahan sila (pero prumeno sa gitna ng kalye at full stop).

so nagbayad naman ang nakabanggang motorsiklo sa amin, nag-share lang ako ng experience sa inyo dahil sa tingin ko yung lumang sasakyan na nag-full stop eh naghahanap ng disgrasya dahil sa kanila eh walang mawawala sa auto. Kukuyugin ka nalang bigla siguro kung natamaan mo sila at hihingan ka ng pera eh samantalang lokbu na yung kotse.

So ayun, ingat lang palagi mga tsikoteers and please iwasan ang tumutok sa harapan niyo please lang.

basically kayo 2 may kasalanan due to negligence
basta learn from it and stop at intersections

sorry hindi po intersection ito, middle of the road talaga.

ako wala akong kasalanan dahil may distansya ako sa harap ko, eh talagang prumeno ng malakas kaya hard-brake din ako kaya nga hindi ko nahagip yung harap. yung motor sa likod ko ang may kasalanan talaga dahil nakabuntot sa akin. (and syempre yung lokbu na car na prumeno ng walang dahilan P*#$)

may nakita akong ganito
incline kasi ung road, Alabang flyover to be exact, paluwas ng Maynila..traffic kaya mabagal takbo, minsan stop kayo lahat
ung nasa harap na sasakyan, di nya siguro napansin na medyo umaatras na sya, ayun sapul ung bumper nung nasa likod nya.
di ko na inusisa kasi "go" na ung line ko
paano pag ganitong scenario, lalo pa nagkatraffic

that is why you need a loud horn.

isa pa, dapat iwasan ng mga drivers yung nakatutok sa harap nila. asar na asar ako sa mga ganitong driver.

mamaya eh hindi ma-tantya eh masagi ka pa.

pero kung ikaw ang naatrasan, dapat yung nakaatras ang magbayad.

It is mostly the fault of the guy behind. It is the responsibility of the one behind to determine his braking distance and his reaction time.

By right when you collide with the car in front of you you are automatically liable. In Singapore for example, once you collide with the car ahead of you, the front vehicle will not even bother to talk to you or ask you the usual why questions. All he does is take down your plate number and leaves the scene without any arguements. Few days after that you will receive a traffic violation ticket and pay the corresponding fines plus damages caused to the vehicle involved. To eliminate arguements i think its best to just keep a safe distance between you and the car in front whatever the situation. This should apply to all motorist. Unfortunately in our country where half of the drivers especially PUVs do not even know how to read traffic signs and where the vehicles they are driving are poorly maintained indeed you can be hit from behind. Discipline and road manners are whats lacking in a lot of the motorists here. If we excercise a little road courtesy and our traffic situations are more predictable then we can drastically eliminate unnecessary accidents. Thats just my two cents worth.
