tungkol sa minivans... i'm convinced that there is a considerable market locally for 7- or 8-seat minivans with gas V6 engines (Sienna, Oddysey, Quest, etc)...

September 26th, 2003 05:40 PM #237Im just wondering.. the government has change the tax structure in order to generate more revenues from taxes of new vehicles..
How come almost all the vehicles lowers there retail cost? Only a few had increased and the increase is very minimal.
I observing that most buyers want to shift there buying preference to cars..
The government plan to generate more revenues would fail!!!

September 26th, 2003 05:50 PM #238Pero on the other hand, kung in general bumaba ang presyo, tataas sales nila...tataas din (taxable)income...
Di ko lang nga alam kung aling school of thought ang tama...i guess you'd need to do some fancy calculations n forecasting...
pano naman kasi, ultimong pagcor e nalulugi...e kanino pa ba kukuha ng pera ung gobyerno? tsk tsk

masyado kasing mataas yung tax rates nung previous scheme. so even though the govt. will get a higher amount of tax revenue for each unit sold, remember that if nothing is sold, no tax revenue is gained.
it makes perfect sense to lower prohibitive tax rates a bit, mababawi sa increased sales volumes yung lower tax revenue per unit. ultimately, i believe that the govt. will earn more under a lower-tax, higher-volume tax system
