Steel ramp will be used for SB traffic going SLEx bound as SOMCO will demolish existing Hillsborough off-ramp.

As of 3:27pm today, steel ramp was still used for NB traffic [one lane].

So siguro pwede pading bi-directional traffic hanggang dipa tapos yung NB [streetlights, drainage].

    ^^ Possible ganito ang set-up:

Closed muna temporarily ang Skyway South Station NB on-ramp - C1 vehicles coming from LP / Ayala Alabang going NB can take Filinvest on ramp tapos keep left for steel ramp [ingat nalang sa pag merge lanes para iwas disgrasya].

3 lanes yung Hillsborough to Alabang viaduct / steel ramp diba, so based kay SMC [this is facing South]:

    • leftmost lane: vehicles as stated above going NB using 1 lane steel ramp
    • median lane: SB vehicles bound for SLEx using 1 lane steel ramp
    • rightmost lane: SB vehicles bound for Alabang [existing South Station area]

    ---

Parang ang layo na kasi mashado kung via MCx ang u-turn...pero para seamless traffic na nga kahit hassle at mapapalayo dagdag toll / gas expenses pa, ito pinakabest gawin :D :D :D

    So...mali ang aking hunch

Skyway Alabang steel ramp will be exclusive to southbound motorists starting April 19

Reasonable, IMHO with the closure of the Hillsbor ramp & the opening of the NB ramp. That HB ramp is a bottleneck.

I rarely use the Skyway from Sucat to Nichols. The same lang naman travel time kung at grade or upper level. Tipid pa ako sa baba.

Looks like the existing 3 lanes from Sucat T/P until the temporary steel ramps got a fresh asphalt overlay + eagle cement powder mix + solid lane markings [diba naka angat yung median lane gawa inalis yung dating concrete barriers] [bollards have been removed as well]

SB update - Hillsborough off-ramp currently being demolished [thank you for your service but as one of the main causes of insane traffic jams especially pre-covid rush hour, you will not be missed]

The northbound of skyway extension project was opened last April 2021. What remains is the southbound portion. Let us check as we reach the month of May 2021, how was the progress. You could see geofoams used on the exit ramps of the skyway extension sb. The Hillsborough off-ramp is now closed to traffic as it will be removed to connect the extension project.
