We need a "gina lopez" sa transportation....

Example dapat every overspeeding 1 year ban sa driving. Non-negotiable. If shabu can kill eh mas lalo ang mga feeling schumi.....

Also it should not be called road accident....

Unfortunately, this is truly wishful thinking...

    Example....

Coding fine 300 pesos.... sisiw bayaran yan.

What if..... fine plus ban sa driving for 1 month.

If caught driving sa ban/suspension eh 1 week imprisonment + 1 year ban sa driving....

If i want to be severe impound the car for a month to a year but problem i need acres of lupa.

If the target is to reduce the car on the road eh make the driver and the car literally liable. Yung mapapaisip sa penalty na kulong at suspension of license.

And itigil na elevated roads....its just making the environment UGLY..... Look at osmena to paranaque.... The chi/aura is bad bad bad bad.

KULOB PA MORE....

We should build a city with a good environment...

300 pesos is not sisiw to the ordinary jeepney-, taxi- or bus driver.

i think that motorists do not fear the 300 peso fine, because they feel that they are not going to be arrested at all.
if their thinking is transformed to otherwise, then they will behave.
no need to increase the fine. what is needed is to solidify the prospect of getting arrested and fined.

whatever we do to the metro, is just buying time. eventually, whatever improvement is made, will be overrun by the growing population.

what we should do, is to develop non-metro habitation. encourage living and doing business outside the metro.

population control? we had the chance at this, years ago, and "we flubbed it". but it is not yet too late. what we need is strong leadership behind it.

    to illustrate....
compare ayala ave with commonwealth ave. bakit sa ayala less than 2 to 3 minutes lang alis na yung bus may sasakay man o wala. sa commonwealth isang bus mag aantay ng 10 to 15 minutes bago umalis and take note di pa bus stop yung hinintuan.

Nope.

correct, so it isnt just a strong man we need, but
a legislature that is willing to provide these powers.

tama ka, yung mga bus station sa Cubao, Buendia, Pasay dapat alisin... but they have friends in high places. but that is hardly enough, enforcement is what will make it sustainable, and this is beyond emergency powers. it is a culture.

    tskoteers,

If you have read up on the cause of traffic, may ripple effect yan for each small act of stopping on the road. The jeepneys and PUVs are a HUGE part of this.

The MMDA is studying two new number coding schemes that will ban cars twice a week | TopGear PH

First proposed number coding scheme (50% traffic volume reduction)
    • Monday and Thursday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 not allowed on roads
    • Wednesday – No number coding scheme
    • Tuesday and Friday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 0 not allowed on roads

Second proposed number coding scheme (40% traffic volume reduction)
    • Monday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 1, 2, 3 and 4 not allowed on roads
    • Tuesday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 5, 6, 7 and 8 not allowed on roads
    • Wednesday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 9, 0, 1 and 2 not allowed on roads
    • Thursday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 3, 4, 5 and 6 not allowed on roads
    • Friday – Cars with plate numbers ending in 7, 8, 9 and 0 not allowed on roads

If passed, these new number coding schemes will be in effect during morning and evening rush-hour periods. That’s 7am to 10am in the morning, and 5pm to 8pm in the evening.

It’s also important to note that Artes says these plans are still being discussed with relevant stakeholders.
    *****

will definitely result to higher prices of 2nd hand cars... and more cars on the road
