so it boils down to, "palakasan ng loob" .. the "i'll take my chances" mentality..
    heh heh.

Issues: no spare tire, power windows not functional, fuel gauge needle acting like wiper arms
Within my DIY skills to settle them all

Car 2: Ex-company vehicle, broken paper trail, 170k km, cheaper by P30k from my budget
Issues: suspension, steering, injection pump, defective odometer, etc.. pero mahusay naman ang body kahit na repaint na.

Car 3: Private, Open deed of sale, 3rd ownership to date, 150k km, higher by 30k from my budget
Issues: suspension, steering, engine ancillaries/leaks, some interior parts missing,

Car 4: Ex-company, Open deed of sale, 170 km, cheaper by 40k from my budget
Issues: haven't inspected the car pero i suspect too many issues kahit na sinasabi ng may-ari na sasakyan na lang

Car 5: Private, open deed of sale, 150 km, higher by P50k from my budget
Issues: i smell a rat. natamper ata ang odometer from the looks of the interior and engine condition as well as transmission.

Car 6: Private, open deed of sale, 490k km, within my budget.
Issues: within the budget pero andami na tinakbo. not worth it

Car 7: Private, 4th owner, 150k km, cheaper by P40k from my budget
Issues: nangangamoy junkshop na ang katawan.

all other cars, hindi pasok sa budget. at mahirap din makatyempo ng 1st owner with relatively low mileage and minor issues kaya ayun nakipagdeal nako.

so option is obvious, Car 1.

sorry mejo naging car buying online help na itong thread. hehe

if i knew what brands and models are at stake, and their ages, i would be able to give a more "informative" contribution.
offhand, however, i would tend to cross out the ff:
tampered look; with obvious defects; missing parts; non-functioning items; junkyard-like; and questionable ownership paper trail (including open deed of sale, if i do not know these people).

but if "the price is right", i might be persuaded to overlook some items, all except the questionable ownership trail.

what about an ex-taxi? unless you have masochistic tendencies, or you are going to cannibalize it, NO!

isuzu ls pickup lang naman....from 98 - 2001 lahat iyang mga nakita ko. ang tinitignan ko kasi is the lowest mileage that suits my budget.

is car 1 also an isuzu pick up between 98 to 2001 model and the mileage is 90k? if so, check if it is not tampered too.

yes sir. base sa sabi ng may-ari e ginagamit lang most of its life as a daily drive sa food business nila (bahay to shop just a few kms away) during mornings. sa afternoon e yung other car na nya.

as per my inspection of the engine, malinis. wala ako makitang trace ng pagkutingting sa mga bolts. only a few very minor (para sa akin ha) issues like worn hood cable & power windows not functioning on all 4 (mejo mapapalaban lang naman ako dito siguro).

plus he showed me the original sales invoice and delivery receipt of the vehicle. as well as the owner's manual. di nga lang mahanap yung casa booklet. well, makikita mo naman kung pano inalagaan the way it runs. as well as the quality of exterior and interior.

sa tingin ko naman e yung seller is your typical dad na hindi mahilig magmodify or mag-race ng sasakyan.

cheaper by 50k from the prevailing market price as advertised on the internet. maaaring hindi tamang basehan ito pero eto lang ang pinanghahawakan ko sa ngayon.

i've taken a look also on same year models on toyota hilux & nissan eagle....mitsubishi? tinanggal ko na sa listahan (sorry mitsu pips, no pun intended) dahil mitsu ang ex-truck ko.

Maintenance issues? yung timing belt lang kasi ang ayaw ko na. nagsawa nako kakapalit nun sa truck ko dati. tsaka conventional diesel lang ako para mas madali ang DIY repairs ko kesa CRDI models.

    Parts? same same

Will there be no problem, if open deed of sale. The CR is verified that has no alarm. Already been registered last month.

^ I don't see any problem if the MV described in the CR is the same MV described the DS.

As long as the DS described the MV is the same with the CR. Thorough check with the MV and CR and DS.
