Petro firms disagree on Euro 2 diesel fuel revival

Afaik our diesel is B3 or 3% biodiesel and the biodiesel content comes exclusively from local coconut oil. Even at record coconut oil prices I don't think it'll make much difference if they did away with it as the % is too small.

The 10% Ethanol content is for gasoline only. That one I think should be reviewed as a lot of people who use gasoline are hardest hit by TRAIN. Motorcycle riders, tricycle drivers, anyone who uses a small motor like in farm equipment, fishing boats, small generators, etc.

B2 tayo bro. But even at 2% coco oil, nasa 0.70/L ang advantage ng pure diesel vs. B2. Kaya galit mga distributor friends ko sa mga smuggler na nagbebenta ng hindi B2 kasi may price advantage.

E10 naman is about P1.20/L so may impact din talaga.

But ultimately even if you cut taxes for these 2 additives, tumaas lang ng $3 ang crude oil prices bawi na kagad ang price cut mo. So better not to undo the progress and just ride out the global oil price waves.

Wow B2 lang pala bro? 0.70/L is huge for gas stations coz they have volume but for the ordinary motorist, di naman nila mararamdaman yun masyado.

Tapos kung alisin nila, mababawasan pa ng market yung coconut oil producers.
