There was a time also in 2000 - 2001 that LTO issued 2008 series plates to new cars in Metro Manila, our 2000 E150 was WEN*** while my friend's 2001 Sentra had WGE***.
I dont get it. our 2000 Nissan Frontier 4x4 and 1998 Mistubishi Spacegear GLX had WMN and WCZ plates. starting with "W" talaga.

From 1998-2001, "W" series yung lumabas. So there is a chance kay Sir GTi na excess plates ang naibigay ng dealer

Correction on my previous post, i meant 1998 (not 2008).

Yep, 1998 models mostly had WC* to WH* (more or less)... It overlaps also depending on what LTO office issued the plates. We had a 1997 Corolla with WC plates and a late 1999 Sentra with WJ plates.

Baka ganyan nga plates niyan. Some provinces really use old plates. Lalo na yan nagsstart sa E. Isa pa diyan nagsstart sa A.

Baka it's one of those early vanity plates na pwede i-transfer or something. However I recall when vanity plates were made available, they were released on the colored/designed plates already.

Nung una hinala ko nilipat lang yung plate number sa ibang kotse para iwas coding, pero meron naman nag LTO SMS check.
