February 5th, 2018 08:37 PM #483may pang hahawakan ba ko para ma-ipilit yung *NO REGISTRATION NO RELEASE OF UNIT na policy?
my unit might be released in a week or two at sabi ng SA, hindi daw sila allowed na iistock ang unit para intayin ang OR/CR.
**Edit: nevermind it looks like the policy was suspended
still are the dealerships allowed to refuse to hold your car until the OR/CR arrives?

February 5th, 2018 08:55 PM #484Dealership sometimes will give you a waiver that you understand the no registration no travel policy and you will not hold then liable. You are allowed travel from dealership to your home thats it.. if you get caught or involved in an accident then that would be on you
In fairness to LTO registration of new vehicles are much faster.. its just the 3rd party document processor of these dealerships is the problem.. submitting documents in batches

February 5th, 2018 09:41 PM #485Mine is fully paid. I'm grilling the agent for ORCR because he didn't explain the waiver to me when I paid up front. Sabi lang pwede ko ilabas but did not disclose the waiver and its contents.
Ngayon naman sabi sa akin 7.30pm "on delivery na" but sabi ko meron truck ban. Pano deliver yan? Driven by someone ba? Sabi ko nalang kung hinataw yan ng driver nila, ihataw nya na ng todo kasi rerefund ko na. But that's for another topic.
Buying second hand for the price of brand new. *facepalm*

Na flag-down yung officemate ko kahapon sa Buendia/Dian, wala pang OR/CR. Random check lang daw tapos hiningi OR/CR.
Buti nadaan sa paki-usap...

February 7th, 2018 11:44 AM #487The suspended one is the No OR/CR No release of Unit' policy. So dealers can release the unit w/o it.
But yeah we need OR/CR to drive them though

It was suspended last Feb 2017 but was reinstated a month after:
LTO Postpones Uniform Temporary Plates; Reiterates No OR/CR, No Travel | Philippine Car News, Car Reviews & Prices | ************
"... dealers may require their customers to either take delivery of their vehicle only when the OR/CR has been made available or sign a waiver releasing the dealer of any claims/damages in case the driver or owner wants to bring his vehicle home when the OR/CR is not yet available."
It was the uniform temporary plates that was suspended, not the NO OR/CR NO TRAVEL policy.
