btw, CAMPI won't be happy with that

    hehe
And those who don't have family to name it under won't balk at a mere 3k, 5k or 7k extra a year...

What a dumb*** idea. Porke't yung mga congressmen kayang kaya mag-register ng sangkatutak ng mga kotse at security escorts, akala nila okay na solution ito.

What the Philippines should do is congestion charging and toll. Simply charge extra for cars entering EDSA or other thoroughfares with just one passenger... then crack down on colorum public utility vehicles. Kikita pa sila in proportion to the amount of traffic the offender causes... instead of making it harder for people who have legitimate reasons to have multiple units under their name (extra car for wife and kids, or as service vehicle for home business, etcetera).

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Congestion charging doesn't help until you have to pay a very hefty charge. That is the comments of drivers in Singapore and London.

In Singapore, the congestion charge is not enough to deter enough drivers to choose alternative routes.

kasi alam nila kung may ginawa sila sa PUJ and PUB, strike and public protest agad.

If they do the same with private vehicle owners, minimum of complains lang at most. No mass protest at mendiola and such....

Actually if you think about it, the government officials are hitting the right places... to get more money. They will use any excuse to milk more and more money from the private sector.
