for PUVs i think ok lang. but i'd rather they be strict with the yellow lane/segregation scheme. but going back, aren't there speed limits already in place on national roads? hindi ba automatic depende sa laki ng kalye? it's just the implementation that's lacking?

kung serious sila, lagyan na lang ng speed and acceleration limiters yung mga puvs. at least sure na hindi na makakahataw mga yun and no need for speed guns and questionable apprehensions.

40kph? 60kph...malapit sa katotohanan. It's so easy to impose rules...so hard to enforce it.

40kph speedlimit is very ideal IMO but not that realistic.

For buses, this might be possible but for jeepneys it would be impossible since these vehicles are serviced by the same people who drive them.

pero 40kph.. realistic for a traffic ridden city street, but dapat atleast 60-80 man lang.. lalo na sa edsa because main thoroughfare siya. and dapat no other streets in metro na mas mataas pa ang limit than the main artery.

dapat i-reassess lahat ng PUV drivers and/or gawing requirement na dapat mechanically speed limited lahat ng PUBs/PUJs/FXs during their yearly renewal with LTO and LTFRB.

Well, what's new? Make a new law pero same kind of implementation. Anong mangyayari dyan, another source of revenue (and headache, for us who can drive faster safely)? Granted, it's for a reason - but I bet a lot of the public transport vehicles like jeepneys and buses don't even have a properly working speedometer. Then add to that their lack of discipline.

Hindi nga nila mapatupad ang proper traffic stop signs, yan pa kaya, where people can be driving way too fast and manage to escape...

I doubt the MMDA will even chase down a speeding bus and risk their own lives for it.

Speed limits are fine but do they know how slow 40km/h is? That's the speed we travel in residential areas not highways, make it at least 60 to 80 km/h to allow traffic flow.
