August 6th, 2022 11:36 AM #111how to defeat the cams? it's easy at night just add some IR emitters to blind the cams. pero pag daytime, cams have IR filters coz the sun emits a hitload of IR, so your IR emitters won't have any effect
any bright ideas?

in qc and manila sa secondary road ako madalas kaya hangang barangay cctv lang. So as much as possible bihira ako dadaan ng main road.
pero other cities mahirapan gawin ginagawa ko kasi walang mga eskinita or barado.

Yan talaga problema natin dito sa Pinas, or at least sa Metro Manila. Walang universality mga traffic rules.
Hindi ko nga alam kung sumusunod ba tayo sa international traffic conventions or kanya-kanyang pakulo na lang.
Dito sa may 20th Avenue sa Cubao, and I think sa ibang intersections din, yung linya mo magka-countdown while in RED.
Pero once it hits 0, di ibig sabihin arangkada ka na. Mag-Go (Green) pa muna yung mga ibang linya while on hold pa rin kayo.
Di na lang nag-synchronize na matapos muna lahat ng thru at turning traffic bago mag-0 sa linya ninyo para Green na agad kasunod.
Dito naman sa may Anonas dati, mag-countdown yung Aurora Blvd. to Cubao while Green.
Once it hits 0 though, may around 3-5 secs pa yata na Green pa rin siya.
Pero nung nadaan ako kahapon, I slowed down kasi mga 2 secs na lamang.
Buti na lang dahil nag-iba na naman pala. Nag-Yellow then Red na agad siya after 0 ng Green.
Paano kaya like yung kotse ko is not in my name pa rin.
Company car siya previously at naka-address pa rin to this multinational company.
I hope it doesn't become another white elephant when these adaptive system ultimately proves ineffective.
Not that we're averse to innovation. When the countdown timers first appeared most of us welcomed it with a sense of relief.
Until now people or most motorists are demanding for its return or continuous maintenance.
Hindi man lang ginawang 70kph sa mga main highways within the Metro.
That's just like traveling with just a 35mph limit sa highways kung sa USA.
Mabagal pa rin. I think it's just a street (speed) limit lang sa kanila.

was in Manila over the weekend (naalala ko itong incident since may similar post akong nakita sa FB)
Ambulance was stuck in traffic, no one wants to move kasi may NCAP sa intersection.

Yun sa Cebu daw hybrid stoplight. Timer and adaptive combination bakit hinde gawin din dito yan?
Problema dito sa MMDA it's one way or the other lang pwede naman pala combination.
